Sweet girl, you're human. You don't have to apologize for having human emotions, nor blame them on hormones. Feel your feelings and know that not only is it okay to feel them, its healthy to. You got this. ❤
You can always buy an island as well to put in the kitchen! I’ve been seeing people do that when the unit does not come with an island! Or you can put a small round dining table to fill the space the L-shape kitchen leaves! Love the apartment you chose and the long vlog!! :)
When I lived in an apartment that came with wifi I got a wifi booster cause it was kinda slow. It boosts the speed of your wifi and allows you to kinda have your own network off of the apartment's wifi network with your own password. I would highly recommend getting a wifi booster if you move into the unit with wifi included and it ends up being slow. I just got a cheapish one and its worked great!
Giiiiiirrrlll!!!! I am going through the exact same process right now and I literally cried a few days ago but this video helps me so much. We have the same taste and I'm also looking for something I love if i'm going to be paying that price. It's crazy that prices are going up daily and this is the same challenge i'm facing. The entire USA is moving to Dallas and because they know this, apartments are being leased to the highest bidder. It makes me so mad but I'm still looking and trying not to lose hope.
I randomly got your video on my wall’s recommendation. But when you were talking through the bad parts of your apartment hunting experience, I just realized that the same stuff that happened to me a month ago while hunting for apartments in Dallas. The whole situation is pretty horrible for everyone who is hunting for apartments in Dallas at the moment
We have a Hue at WaterColor Place here in Florida. We looked at it, nice apartments rent was $1100-1200 for a 1/1 when we looked now a 1/1 is $2500-2600
I’m glad this apartment tour ended in a happy ending!! 🥰🥰 There is hope for me 🙃🙃 I’m moving from a different state and the reviews can be quite bothersome especially when online they look so wonderful wish me luck 🍀 I’m coming next month to tour!!! 😬😬
Hi Madi!! I just recently moved to the outskirts of Dallas a few days ago so I know the struggle of finding the perfect apartment in your budget. It’s tough for sure, but best of luck that you find a good one!!!💖 I was kind of rushed into my apartment and now I feel like I’m stuck here til my lease is up next year. Also, if you have any recommendations for places to go to in Dallas, let a girl know! I really want to explore the city
Late comment here but thankfully I found your video. I’ve been apartment hunting too in Dallas and it’s literally SO HARD to find something in your price range, looks, travel time..I FEEL YOU. I hope you found the perfect place
Just think how us natives feel! Migration has literally made it impossible for us to afford to live here. I’m literally just signed a lease for a studio at 1200 base. 😢
I don’t think I have EVER been so invested in someone’s apartment search before 😂 but I can’t wait to see the moving blogs that are going to be coming next month!
Yay a new video from queen Madi! I hope you're doing well! I love you so much friend! You have no idea how much you mean to me! I love how positive you are! Thanks for being so great! You're absolutely GORGEOUS! 💗💗
First off, I am HEEEERE for the long vlogs girl! Love you and your content!🥰😝 I also appreciate seeing the journey of your apartment hunting because it’s so easy to just believe you just walk in and choose an apartment, but it’s SO IMPORTANT to consider ALL THE THINGS when choosing where you’re going to be signing your name and credit info to for whether it’s a year, two years, or more! Better to be picky now than stressed later…and fighting packs of mice hoards!😅 So thank youuu!! But um…ma’am did I miss a vlog explaining your adorable new finger tattoo?! I need an up close picture!! It’s so cute!❤️
I understand how you feel. I live in Dallas and these apartments are ridiculous. The prices changes daily and some of the change depending on your move in date. I have be looking for awhile myself for a 2 bedroom. I seen a 2 bedroom for $2300 🥺
I had this exact same problem in Plano. I would find a cute place and by the time I could go in and see it, the rent had gone up $200+. It's so stressful.
I could not live in a high rise I would be freaked out all the time lol. I recommend driving around the area you plan on living at nighttime just to make sure nothing looks shady. I really liked your apartment in Alabama, I thought it was really nice!
I was not expecting those prices!!! I live in West Palm Beach, FL (I know it's considered one of the most expensive places to live) but a one bedroom here is $2,600!!!!! Even having roommates you're still paying around $2,000 each. This video truly has me questioning everything 😅
And these rates are considered relatively HIGH here, because wages have been stagnant for so long. To be fair Madi is looking at the most expensive "general" areas. Harwood, Knox Henderson, and State Thomas are the more expensive areas. (and now Lower Greenville) There are so many new complexes popping up in the "walkable" areas and they are more expensive. Getting out of the "downtown" area those are 2BR prices though. I bought a condo years ago, and I think I saw her drive by it. :) I have the "City View" too, thankfully -- or more importantly the "non-Club" side.
Love the Mayflower apartment especially since it has the city view! Bishop North/ Bishop flats looks so nice! I have been watching your Instagram stories and I was so excited for this vlog.
I honestly wish I was crying over all these apartments. In Cali a $1500 apartment gets you something so old and raggedy. But trust the process girl, the right one will come. All of these hiccups are just a sign that they are not meant to be.
So I think UA-cam recommend you to me because I’ve just moved to Dallas, but if you haven’t signed a contract yet...your locator probably gave you right price. I learned the prices can change everyday. If you’re flexible on your move in date, you can have them look ahead few days and see what price is on certain date and snag that deal.
I live in Dallas too, which is probably why your video was suggested to me. And I have been looking so hard for a new apartment! I feel the stress :( And everything went way, way up this year.
I used to live in Dallas - I miss it solely due to the rent costs. I’m from Colorado - so I’ve been back here and grrrrrl you would die living here bc it is 18-19 for any kind of apartment you are looking at now.
I’m new in Dallas and apartment hunting for June & I REALLY LOVE the apartment you picked😫 where can I get the details😩😩 I swear I’m no stalker. I just really like it♥️ Help? Or can we get the info to the apartment you didn’t pick & viewed second to last?
I just signed a lease in uptown back in March and I've been dying to just leave Miami already lol, plus its a building that's getting a whole renovation to look like a fancy hotel vibe so I can't wait to get there but I feel you on those wrong prices some lists I got from people weren't accurate what so ever.
It’s okay to be emotional madi I know this is 2 days later lol but I just got my first apartment in Jan. I have been wanting to be on my own for a very long time. The town I grew up in was just not aligned with what I want with my future. I needed a city vibe. I live in PA mind you 🤣 and also didn’t want to be too far away from home. I traveled over an hour to tour apartments praying that one of them would be it. And they weren’t. Checked apartments all night long, nothing was coming up. I was so disappointed. Went to another city to tour an appt that I wasn’t interested in at first. It was the only one left in my tour. I was desperate to have an apartment when I got back home. I saw this place and loved it. My soul told me this was it. Applied the same day. Got it a week later 🌟
I love it when you do extra-long videos especially vlogs! Not going to lie some of those apartments are pretty nice. Also, it's okay to be emotional during these situations, because it can literally be unbearable to deal with and just feel like you are getting nowhere with what you are doing, so don't be sorry - we are all humans and to be honest if I was you, Madi, I would have done the same thing and have emotional/mental breakdown as well. Love you Madi and keep your head held high! 🤍
Hi! Just wanted to say that I literally just found you here on UA-cam! I love this video! It’s also super helpful to me since I just moved here to Dallas from Michigan!💜 I’m so glad I found you
I live close to Dallas and my rent went from $1890 to $2400 with one months notice bc of the market. Like it sucks so bad but I agree with you on the not paying for a place you don’t love. I’m sticking to the 2400 😭 I hope the market calms down in the near future.
Apartment hunting is so stressful. I like my current apartment for a few reasons and there are a few things I would like different in my apartment. My current lease is good until end of July and I would need to resign by end of June if I end up staying which is likely. I know my rent will go up somewhat when the lease renews and I am likely to stay unless something else catches my eye. In my case, I figured paying $50 more per month in rent over a year's term would still be less than the cost of moving to a new apartment because renting a Uhaul can be really costly even for short moves.
Jeez I always knew my rent in the NYC area was expensive but good grief 1350 for a 1-bedroom. You can't even find those prices anymore in places like Jacksonville for crying out loud. I need to move to Dallas and hop on this rent train I guess.
girl! love this video i’m also going through the whole apartment hunting right now! What’s the name of the one you didn’t end up going with at the end?
I love this video! I’m going to Dallas for the Alan Jackson concert in September and just watching your videos gives me ideas of places to go and more! If you have any recommendations on food places by the American Airlines center pleaseee let me know!!
Loved the vlog! Currently apartment searching in Dallas as well and have had no luck, if you don’t mind can you drop the name of either of the last 2 apartments you didn’t end up picking?
Rents all over hv gone up 33% or more in 1-2 yrs. Terrible. Im ready to move to a non city area. This is nust Dallas, nothing specia..but rents are extreme.
Tbh, Dallas is ghetto low key. You can be in a nice area and yet there’s still some type of shooting, assault, or robbery happening every week. It’s ridiculous
Never take the first renewal offer!!! They are not set in stone, you can haggle, I have always been able to negotiate down to 2% increase with minimal effort. Just have to ask and say you pay rent on time and are a good tenant.
I loved the first one sorry I forgot the letter lol but I have add bad 😂😂 but I was also very hard to get the full feel since you toured a 2 bedroom, some of the way the walls were angled were a bit odd but it was very cozy feeling. With dark colored kitchens it almost makes the apartment seem dark and like a dungeon instead of warm cozy and comfortable. At least that is how I feel. The 2nd one was much brighter but the kitchen had an odd layout and the bedroom seemed a bit small, there was bathroom storage which seemed like a decent amount. Ohhhh the balcony is definitely a plus. I think the cable thing is because with direct TV they would have to drill and place the dish so it would cause exterior damage or that's my guess. OMG!! I absolutely love number 3 the kitchen was gorgeous, the bathtub 😍 the layout of the kitchen was great just the layout of the apartment was great. So far this is my favorite. Number 4 the bedroom seemed very dark and like a dungeon which wouldn't bother me since I love my bedroom that way. It was a nice apartment, the living room seemed very big and the biggest to me which is definitely a plus to have a large living area so it doesn't feel cramped and claustrophobic. Oh wow that is a significant amount of space 800 square feet is a decent size. The last one was very nice and cozy feeling I loved the layout but the price is a lot. The mice thing can happen anywhere but they are dirty and carry so many diseases. Girl imma have to go back through and see which one was b 😂😂 Having Marley would be ok but a mouse could bite her and I once had a cat that would catch the mouse and not to hurt it but just be friends with it and I'm not joking. I think whatever you decide will be perfect for you, a home is what you make it, as long as you and madam Marley are happy that's all that matters. Girl I'm so sorry that you got given the wrong price. This is my take and if you're a locator out there I'm not trying to offend you but anyhow she should have double checked the price when she was making the appointment for you, seems about shitty and like she's doing a half ass Job. Sending you hugs 💜💜 I think it's number 5 (this is my review of the last 2) omg I love the fact the laundry is in the closet I never thought about that. The bathroom was huge and the counter space was huge. I loved it. Wow wow wow I absolutely fell in love with the last one 😍 the barn doors for the bath room, the layout of the bathroom just the entire apartment was very cozy feeling and I seen the door for a balcony or maybe a little patio thing but I loved it.
Why do Californians compare low cost of living states by housing alone? Let’s look at our minimum wages, anti laws, and they’re not employee friendly like California…so what are you really trading? 🥴
Hey. I love following the process off your apartment hunting. And don’t worry about the length of the video. For me it’s the longer the better. But please take an apartment with a window in the bedroom. 👍👍✋✋
Farmers market is a NO!! Such a dangerous area to live in, my friend had to break her lease because she felt so unsafe. Someone literally got shot on the street outside her unit.
Sweet girl, you're human. You don't have to apologize for having human emotions, nor blame them on hormones. Feel your feelings and know that not only is it okay to feel them, its healthy to. You got this. ❤
This and also I wish she’d be more vulnerable. I think that’s the reason I quit watching her in the first place even though I do love her!
You can always buy an island as well to put in the kitchen! I’ve been seeing people do that when the unit does not come with an island! Or you can put a small round dining table to fill the space the L-shape kitchen leaves! Love the apartment you chose and the long vlog!! :)
I enjoyed this vlog so much, you really know how to make it feel like your audience is right there with you.

Sending you hugs
💜💜 I think it's number 5 (this is my review of the last 2) omg I love the fact the laundry is in the closet I never thought about that.
Omg love all the opinions on the places !!! Hahaha I’m hoping I get one of the last two:)
I am also stressing out about looking.
I am currently looking in the Richardson area
These rent prices are LOOOVEEEEE
I'm in California and shook by how cheap these prices are
Why do Californians compare low cost of living states by housing alone? Let’s look at our minimum wages, anti laws, and they’re not employee friendly like California…so what are you really trading? 🥴
Your kitty is SO CUTE OMG
Hi love! How did you go about finding someone to help you find apartment rentals?
I say it the all white and longer lease makes you happy go for it
that supper fun moment when I stalked ur page and realize u went to the same high school that I go to rn😭
I didn’t realize rent was that expensive
I like the apartment with the big closet
I’m sad knowing that if you didn’t want to be in the city you could pay those same prices and get way more square footage :(
I wanted to stay in the city:/
Hey. I love following the process off your apartment hunting. And don’t worry about the length of the video. For me it’s the longer the better. But please take an apartment with a window in the bedroom. 👍👍✋✋
Omg so early. I love your content Madi!!!!
Thank you!!!🤍
Did Apartment E have a little back yard area or did I look at that wrong?
Was factory design district a good area?
Yea rent in dallas is SO WAY to expensive it’s ridiculous! I can’t afford rent I may have to start living in my car.
Farmers market is a NO!! Such a dangerous area to live in, my friend had to break her lease because she felt so unsafe. Someone literally got shot on the street outside her unit.
Omg what….good to know. That’s so scary
The last two are so so nice!! 😍
Right!!!
Hope you find a good apartment! I’m wanting a new one myself!!! Good luck 🤞❤️
Do all of these come with a washer and dryer ?
“Stewart Little up in this b*tch” LMAOO
What was the name of the last place you showed? I need to tour that one asap!
Of course the ones that I absolutely love are the last two that don’t have the names listed!😂
One is called the westerly!
@@MadisonWestbrooke Thank you so much!✨
Hi gorgeous, did you ever move to either of the last 2 you toured? I’m interested if you could remember the names.
The one with the blue cabinets on the island was the Westerly and the last one is Luxia Swiss!
What is the name of the second to last apartment I’m moving there soon it would be helpful to have the name since i really liked it!
The westerly!
Madi blessing us with 30 minute vlogs 🤘😎
