VarynDar Bruh I’m literally breezing through DS3 on keyboard and mouse. It’s so much easier using that than when I was using the xbox controller and unable to get past even the undead settlement. I really don’t see what the problem with KB+M is here.
Sekiro is easier with kb+m in my opinion, i feel like i have better reaction time with blocking on a mouse than a controller.
@@raggedymuffinz How is it harder on ps4 tho? Not trying to knock. It's just all the buttons are right by your fingers and you mainly just use 4 buttons and analog sticks which is far less than wasd and whatever whatever else.
I am absolutely amazed he beat shinobi hunter after refusing to get Mikiri counter. That boss is literally the tutorial for the ability and he just ignored it

Lol I did the exact same thing and almost cried when there was a second phase. But after the next 10 tries it started to dawn on me that it was stupid to think this boss would be that easy after all the previous bosses. Defeating her was the MOST satisfying feeling of any game I've ever played. Truly a masterpiece.

@@jimb0072 when playing this game the first time I absolutely got brutalized because I didn’t deflect thinking I couldn’t deflect shit like other souls games. And learning to not spam R1 was absolutely the biggest learning curve for this game.

Charlie plays the game like dark souls, dodging and rolling, and calls it easy. Just sat here waiting for Juzou or other challenges that required deflecting, the main staple of the game. Was fun watching the realization that this isn’t dark souls and your getting your shit pushed in.

@@brandon-eo5mg I think so. Elden Ring was my first souls like game and I really like Sekiro. It is different for sure and the combat can be frustrating until you really start to get a grasp on the Parrying. As an elden ring player I died ALOT trying to dodge and playing for boss healthbar. Play to parry and break their stance.
@@brandon-eo5mg my advice would be playing a rythym game because sekiro is literally just a rythym game when it comes to deflecting. The attacks always have the same pattern
@@brandon-eo5mg it could but idk. Sekiro plays very similarly to elden ring in some areas while very different in others. The first thing you need to know about it is that it is not an rpg. There's no builds, stats, lvling up system or anything. There is progression with combat arts, skill tree and prosthetics though and those are all integrated into the combat so you HAVE to use almost all of them everywhere. The bosses especially are tightly designed around what you can do so it always feels fair.
Ultimately it all comes down to what aspects of these games do you enjoy. Personally, I never enjoyed rpgs but thoroughly enjoyed character action games so dark souls or elden ring never really clicked with me but Sekiro instantly clicked.

Fuck me he beat chained ogre in the first try. That boss made me spread dragonrot to the entire world
Chained ogre, blazing bull, and gyoubu are all easy to beat if you are playing the game as if it's dark souls (I was playing that way until Genichiro, who took me like 30 tries after beating blazing bull, ogre, and gyoubu in under 10 collectively). If you try to deflect attacks from huge beastlike enemies rather than dodge them you're going to have a rough time.
Makes me wonder why From even tried to include beastial enemies in the game (IMO the worst bossfight in the game is one of these *cough cough* monkey on fire *cough cough*) when it goes against what the game has been screaming at you from the start: "this isn't dark souls, you can't just I-frame your way through every attack".
Humanoid swordsmen are where this game really shines and my two most favourite bossfights are human swordsmen
@@tomcole5118 completely agree. For me tho, genichiro was 5 times easier than chained ogre because dying to genichiro only made me stronger. Dying to ogre made me die inside.
Edit: Also there's one sword fight, Armoured Warrior, completely gimmicky. Reminded me of Iron Golem from DS1 lol

2:55:10 im pretty sure That's only appliable in DS3 and maybe DS1, in DS1 you had areas where you get ganked but it was kinda okay since the movement was good, in DS2 you get ganked out of existence since they just put like 5 enemies that kill you in 2 hits in the same room while having the horrible movement (slow roll, slow running and horrible hitboxes).
At least in DS3 the worst gank would be the Ringed City Hall, and the Lothric Castle gank squad, 1 is skippable and the other managable also because you move fast.
That one DS3 enemy in the dlc specifically designed to push you off ledges infuriates me.

Bloodborne, Sekiro, RE2, Hitman 2 and It Takes Two ( My wife loves it and it really is a fun game). Otherwise I'd just be content playing Ghostbusters on Genesis and Ocarina on N64 (Greatest games of all time) . Damn you Charlie.

Why do so many people say souls games cant be played with mouse and keyboard? Mouse and keyboard works fine with them, just like literally any other game on consoles

platformers feel amazing on keyboard for a lot of people because of the pure on/off movements you can do making it easier to go fast, yeah you are limited as you can really only do 45 degrees diagonally but still
third person games. a lot of third person games are shooter, mouse, and even games that you dont shoot, like sekiro, the controls are still like a shooter game instead you dont actively aim and have a block button instead of aim down sights
now that i explained why pretty every game is perfectly fine with m+kb, why do so many people say so many game cant be played with m+kb when in reality they can, some games you are limited like racing games and rarely some platformers, but people also say third person games, most t.p games play exactly like first person games but.. in third person! and some, like sekiro, play like fps games but arent active with mouse movements and you have a block button instead of ads
@@shadeshotTV souls games feel much better with a controller as someone who's tried both. Same for the witcher 3, and most third person game that don't require precise aiming. Also most people prefer sitting or lying down comfortably on their couch while playing video games, so keyboard and mouse can be pretty annoying in that case.
Majd Saade That’s an incredibly subjective opinion. I feel pretty much the exact opposite. As long as I’m able to remap my keys, it always ends up feeling better and causes me to *play* a lot better than if I was using a controller. Just because a game was made for a console doesn’t mean that controller is the objectively optimal way to play :/
