34 yrs old LD outclassed prime CTC and now 34 yrs old CTC is still one of the best players in the world. This just shows the gap between LD's era and current generation.

It's hard to explain to younger people just how slow and bad Lin Dan was in 2017 compared to 2007-2011. This LD would lose to prime LD 21-5 or so both games, and yet he's still out here beating the current generation.
People nowadays compare Victor , momota with Lin dan. But they don’t know that this version of Lin dan is enough to beat any of these 2 players when he is serious on his game. U can’t even compare lcw with lin dan, not even close.

Playing against Lin Dan in itself is like playing under utmost pressure. Imagine a guy going professional for the first time only to find out that his first opponent is Lin Dan. Damn that's impossible 😢😢😢
If Chou Tien Chen had a better coach, he would have done better in his early career. LinDan basically just crashed him with hard defense and control shot, but no coach telling Chou how to make adjustments and fight back. Throughout the game he just cant find a effective way to score....

I was there watching this game, and the shuttle was really slow. The men's double was playing like women double, smashes didn't gain points too much.
