This is a GREAT bag review. So many reviews are just unboxing, some never even put anything in the bag or wear them. You covered all bases, including putting real items inside the back, wearing the bag, and pointing out any deficiencies, as well as mentioning an alternative. Very comprehensive and best of all, helpful. Keep it up!
I've got to be honest, you really deserve more subscribers. The production quality of the videos you make is just great. It's nice to see a channel that is focused on creating good quality videos, over pumping out a new one every day. Great video and I hope to see more.
You will blow up. Mark my works man. I was following MKBHD before he got big and when he started putting out quality like yours, he slowly grew and reached a strong peak. Keep up this quality man :)
Ive had this bag since August and I LOVE IT!! I did go from a mid 2012 15 inch MacBook Pro (non-retina) to a 13 inch MacBook Air and I do get the issue with the smaller laptops moving around a lot. I havent had any hard floor hits though but I am worried about it so its nice to know there is a junior version for smaller laptops, now I know what my next tech buy will be. Beyond that this thing has so much space I cant seem to use all of it.
Really, you don't even need to focus on the edit to realize the video quality. You don't get too much or too little information and the video goes along and backs up the information he gives. Great video.
Thank you for your review. This was quality! Well thought out, well written, and extremely visible video. I'm still not sure if I will buy this bag, but I have been considering this for a few months. I've been cautious, because I can't see this in person in a store and you answered so many questions in 4 minutes with quality. Keep it up!
Bought this bag 6 years ago when I found that video, but now the new version of this bad is such low quality, no hardshell no handle on the side. such a shame.
May I ask how's your bag holding up now that it's been a year? I have heard the straps often fray at the top, but overall, I really want this but would love to hear people's experiences after having it for a long time now. Thanks so much!
I actually have the smaller Jr version & at 1st thought is this too small, buuut after using it for a couple of months as my daily bag it works most of the time. I'm in nyc so don't drive- subway n rail to most everywhere so I wanted something that didn't have a large foot print and this fits the bill. I can carry my clunky work lenovo & my slim HP specter laptop with a 1/2 inch book w/o an issue- though it's heavy. HOWEVER. At times when I carry more bulky items like my shaker bottle I end up remov'g the hard shell & storing it there. I know it sounds odd but the bag doesn't bulge outward if done this way and I don't need my power cord since there's one at work & at home. Still I'm thinking about getting the the next size up just to have options. Zippers noise doesn't bother me and you are right about the well though out organized pockets as i can get to everything much easier than my previous bags, which for the most part, have a few large pockets. I actually looked for that kind of bag till the eBag. Now I can't go back to them. I didn't realize how much smaller item I actually have.
Thanks for the comment! Sounds like it is the perfect bag for your needs. But it's always nice to have another bag for more flexible/larger items. but I agree this bag is great for simple carry items like you described.
May I ask how's your bag holding up now that it's been 3 years? I have heard the straps often fray at the top, but overall, I really want this but would love to hear people's experiences after having it for a long time now. Thanks so much!
Amazing backpack. I just don't think more than $100 for a backpack is really worth it in my opinion. This is why I always check descriptions of videos to checkout links before I even attempt watching the review lol
I bought it 3 years ago and its just as good as new, no issues, no wear out anywhere on the bag, Its around 55$ now not sure if it got cheaper or there's a back to school offer, but its still worth 100$!
Dude! So much quality man. You have awesome video work and leet editing skillz. If you run out of space to store products, then send them my way and I'lll uhh... take good care of them :D
Same for me... they essentially removed some features which made the bag unique. I'll have to import the back and justify paying double for something that they've really botched now.
My only complaint about this bag is how small the water bottle holder is and how easy bottles can get pushed out of it. I wish there was a bungee fastener or something.
I actually bought this recently when it was on sale. They actually have a pouch in the laptop section which should help with holding smaller laptops. I guess it's something they've added since this review came out.
Have you ever heard of the Backenger by Newfeel? Not a dedicated tech backpack, but has a soft compartment for laptops and it's special feature is allowing seamless transition from backpack to messenger style. I recommend you look it up. Awesome video man!
Hey David, is this still your go to bag? I'm looking for a great tech/work back and there are so many as you know, this one seems to cover all my needs. Might give it a try.
It is with a caveat. (I mainly rotate between this and the Hershel Pop Quiz as my tech bags) I use this eBags if I need to carry a lot of tech where the separate pockets and organizers would be helpful. I use the Hershel if I'm just carrying my Laptop since it's noticeably lighter than the eBags when empty. But for tech/work I'd still go with the eBags.
Is this bag heavy even before you load it, tho? Because my weekender Jr bag, IS Heavy, empty, more so, when full. And no hip belt on it, either. Still love it, tho?
I realize this video is old, so I don’t blame you if you don’t respond. I’m just wondering if I could fit a few texts books in this bag, as I’m going off to college. Do you think this would make a good college backpack?
I am planning on buying this backpack for my AW M17 (16.1 inch by 11.52 inch) laptop. I truly hope this backpack would be able to accomodate my laptop... But my main point of concern are those straps.. they look a bit flimsy.. not sure how well those would hold up with time.
Thanks so much for this video! I just ordered the junior version and I'm very excited to get it in a couple of days. I subbed--love the quality of the content you produce. Looking forward to more. :)
Great video! By the way, what ties are you using to make the zippers quiet? I don't quite recognize what they are from the brief appearance in the video. Link maybe? Thanks again, got this bag based on your review.
I've been using this bag for four years with my enormous 17 inch notebook. It's one of the few truly great bags available for a device that size, and I've been utterly happy with it. The workmanship is first rate, and the outer material (I have the black) retains its looks despite my working it pretty hard. It's perfectly suitable for a business environment as well, which can't be said of many packs for large notebooks. I can recommend this backpack without qualification. You hit on all of the best points here, and your presentation is excellent. Great work!
mulciberus hey, man. i just bought a 17.3” laptop and i was considering this bag. my only issue with it is how you need to remove the bottom padding to fit the laptop inside. i worry that it will give too little protection....thoughts?
Very nice bag but with a huge drawback (to me): it has too many "important pockets" and access on the front, not so good for security if you use public transportaton.....pockets should be mostly internal
Good video quality, excellent commentary about what you liked and didn't like. From a business perspective, I passed on this bag for the some of the reason you covered in your video. No TSA approved opening for those of us who travel, the L shaped opening are a hassle and the laptop protection is an afterthought that makes it useless to transport an expensive laptop. Although this bag was on final list of 3 bags, I chose the Everki Titan, which addresses all my concerns, it is relatively in the same price range and if you check Amazon, out of 427 buyers, there were only a couple of one star reviews. Ant that is rare indeed. Keep up the good work.
ya'know those moment where people are stealing your stuff from behind and there is no way for you to hear it? well now with the loud ziplock from that bag, you won't need to be in that situation. but for some reason you make it quiet...
Hey David. I just bought this bag (it arrived this morning). Wanted to do a search to make sure I knew all of the features, and found your video here. Thanks so much for posting it. I deliberately chose this size to accommodate my (not yet purchased) 16 inch laptop so I appreciate what you had to say about the space inside. I know if I bought a smaller one I'd have to take care to ensure it was properly cushioned, as you mentioned. Anyway, thanks again for posting this. I'll be subscribing now…
Hey David, it's an amazingly detailed video you made and it's because of this video even i have ordered this bag. I wanted to ask, how's the bag holding up for you? I've read some comments where people are furios because of the shoulder straps or the hooks giving up.
This video was great. To be honest I’ve been torn on getting this bag or not and there aren’t too many review videos that aren’t at least 10 min long. You’re video was the perfect length and straight to the point. Great work and keep it up!!
I saw this backpack on someone in the airport and I've been poring over the ad and looking at reviews. This video is exactly what I needed to get a full sense of the bag and it's utility. Thank you for taking the time to create this video review!
Kenji Yagi I just got the junior version of this backpack after doing a bunch of research. I'd say it's pretty heavy without anything in it. (I don't have a scale, so I don't know the weight, sorry.) At first I was worried about the weight, but I've been using it daily for the past few weeks and packing it with my laptop, folders, thick binder, regular size mouse, power cord and extras like business cards, pens and whatnot, and the weight hasn't bothered me at all. I see this channel getting larger and larger! Rather fun to see. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
This is amazing, not the bag.
The production of the video.
Pay attention to the edit and you'll see what I mean.
The bag is pretty cool too! lol Thanks.
David Zhang yeah it is but the video is more.
Really, you don't even need to focus on the edit to realize the video quality. You don't get too much or too little information and the video goes along and backs up the information he gives. Great video.
Your content is so informational and formal and just very clean and interesting! You deserve more subscribers
Thanks! It's nice to hear that

I love watching his backpack reviews! Idk why I'm weird like that
Hope you reach a million subs. soon, you're working night and day on the quality buddy, can feel it!
Thanks bud!
Bought this bag 6 years ago when I found that video, but now the new version of this bad is such low quality, no hardshell no handle on the side. such a shame.
Just ordered my professional backpack, can’t wait to get it. Thanks 4 sharing.

Thanks for the comment! Sounds like it is the perfect bag for your needs. But it's always nice to have another bag for more flexible/larger items. but I agree this bag is great for simple carry items like you described.
Thanks. You convinced me to buy this one. The video was very well made as if eBags paid you for it. Keep it up!
Np! Enjoy the bag!

very professional review, love it.
amazing video production david!
thanks!
Great review and really well made video. Subbed!
Nice review David, Thanks man.
If only the bag had a bigger compartment for books then it would of been a pretty great school backpack.
Dope bag.
Thanks Michael!
Is it waterproof?
I have Thule crossover 25L, do you think this is a better backpack than mine? And what do you think about the new Thule Subterra backpack series?
You got my sub
Amazing backpack. I just don't think more than $100 for a backpack is really worth it in my opinion. This is why I always check descriptions of videos to checkout links before I even attempt watching the review lol
I bought it 3 years ago and its just as good as new, no issues, no wear out anywhere on the bag, Its around 55$ now not sure if it got cheaper or there's a back to school offer, but its still worth 100$!
soo will 17.3 inch laptops will fit with the padding?
I have this model, it's great, but just too heavy...

Is it water proof?
How much does this pack cost ?
I like this bag but to expensive maybe later

what shoes are you wearing for the vid?
some cheap shoes I got from H&M.
I'll search for similar ones. Thanks!
Nope not putting my MacBook Pro 15" with that crappy bumper pad at the bottom of this bag. Way too much slop in the laptop pocket!
Jeff Morgan exactly what I was thinking
Keep it up proud of you! Still in my opinion you deserve more subs. Video quality is top notch.
Thanks! Appreciate all the support!
David Zhang duuude awsome channel! Instant sub :D
This quality is Crispy Af
Thanks!
Tremendous production values. Keep it up!
Thanks Izzy!
Dude! So much quality man. You have awesome video work and leet editing skillz. If you run out of space to store products, then send them my way and I'lll uhh... take good care of them :D
Haha. When you're done building your electric skateboard we'll race in the spring. Or maybe an electric snowboard for the winter???
So sad. They changed this bag quite a bit this month. Not sure it's something I want to get after seeing what it did have
Same for me... they essentially removed some features which made the bag unique. I'll have to import the back and justify paying double for something that they've really botched now.
As of 2019, this backpack NO LONGER has STOWABLE shoulder straps.
This is how a review should be done! Good job man! Subbed! :)
The new version of this bag sucks! Wish I would have got one of these before.
My only complaint about this bag is how small the water bottle holder is and how easy bottles can get pushed out of it. I wish there was a bungee fastener or something.

Thanks! I'll check it out.
Have you had a look at it yet? I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
Smaller laptops can go into the sleeve with the false bottom instead. That's where I always kept my 13in MBP
Hey David, is this still your go to bag? I'm looking for a great tech/work back and there are so many as you know, this one seems to cover all my needs. Might give it a try.

Would this bag be able to hold a 15-inch MacBook and a 15.6 inch Wacom tablet in the two pouches separate?
Is this bag heavy even before you load it, tho?
Because my weekender Jr bag, IS Heavy, empty, more so, when full. And no hip belt on it, either.
Still love it, tho?

Thank You for this review. It just convinced me to buy this backpack!
is this a Bose QC35 that you can fit inside the bag? Do you think that the "Junior" version would be able to accommodate it as well?
I am planning on buying this backpack for my AW M17 (16.1 inch by 11.52 inch) laptop. I truly hope this backpack would be able to accomodate my laptop... But my main point of concern are those straps.. they look a bit flimsy.. not sure how well those would hold up with time.
When you open the second compartment you have 3 small black bags in there. What are they ? How thick of a case fits in that area?
This was a great backpack! Too bad ebags was bought by Samsonite and no longer makes this bag.
Slim!!
Are you sure?
Its nice backpack but I don't think it's slim
The Dave Lee and MKBHD inspiration is strong here. Way to go. Subbed.
I think I'll pass on the bag but your review is excellent. Thank you.
Do think that you could fit a school lunch box in the main compartment?
Thanks so much for this video! I just ordered the junior version and I'm very excited to get it in a couple of days. I subbed--love the quality of the content you produce. Looking forward to more. :)
Thanks! Enjoy the bag!
Hmmm....do people really carry a full size keyboard with them? It's a called a TLS Professional Slim LAPTOP bag. Otherwise, nice detailed review.
Great video! By the way, what ties are you using to make the zippers quiet? I don't quite recognize what they are from the brief appearance in the video. Link maybe? Thanks again, got this bag based on your review.

This channel is a hidden gem
Great review, first class bag.
Great review video, seems a great laptop.Will it hold my msi gs70 laptop W:29.5cm x D:3cm x H:42cm ?
Very thurough and listed the good and bad, although when it comes to this bag lets face it, its mostly good! Just bought this on sale today for 79.99!
Thums up!
:)
How is it that you don't have many subscribers even though your videos have the quality of, say, MKBHD?
This video was great. To be honest I’ve been torn on getting this bag or not and there aren’t too many review videos that aren’t at least 10 min long. You’re video was the perfect length and straight to the point. Great work and keep it up!!
You only show your bag you don't show how to make it
I saw this backpack on someone in the airport and I've been poring over the ad and looking at reviews. This video is exactly what I needed to get a full sense of the bag and it's utility. Thank you for taking the time to create this video review!
Are u still rocking this pack? This pack is 3.5lbs, it weighs as much as my bulky and uncomfortable ogio renegade ss.
If you are looking for a laptop bag at low cost, we are here with the solution. Go get your laptop bag in just $56. HERE IS THE LINK!

eBags really put some thought into this bag (And your video is very helpful). Thanks!
Don't y'all love it when there's Canadian links in the description for videos like this? I sure do! Saves me a minute or so~
Bought this bag after watching your video. Haven’t received it yet. Thank you!
Hey. Good review. Quick question I haven´t seen in any of the reviews, is the fabric weather or water resistant?
If only it could be turned into a messenger!! Would buy it immediately
Well done. Great video quality that let me clearly see the details of this bag. I learned more on this than others about this bag. Good job!
Does somebody know if it is water resistant?
Thanks for this! Helped me make my decision and I love the bag.
Fun fact: everything will topple over if you push it :p
Great video!! I loved it and thank you for explaining the pros and cons of this bag. I now know the Junior version will be probably be better for me
Awesome Review - Your review gave me the information I needed to make this purchase! Thank You! It's a Great Bag!
can you fit shoes in the bottom pouch?
zipper noise? really? that's a bit nit picky dude.
Is this bag really 3lbs+?! Most laptop backpacks are a little over 1lb. Seems a little heavy, but I guess it's all that padding?
Kenji Yagi I just got the junior version of this backpack after doing a bunch of research. I'd say it's pretty heavy without anything in it. (I don't have a scale, so I don't know the weight, sorry.) At first I was worried about the weight, but I've been using it daily for the past few weeks and packing it with my laptop, folders, thick binder, regular size mouse, power cord and extras like business cards, pens and whatnot, and the weight hasn't bothered me at all. I'm very happy with it
I have one and yes, it is heavy. I bought about 3 years ago, use it every day and in my travels (and I travel a lot) and it still looks good as new. I have been trying to find a replacement but have not found one that looks as good as this one and with all the quick access to the little stuff. Also the hard shell pocket is great for carrying glasses, camera, and stuff you need to be careful with. Overall a great bag!
Great vid....Bag is nice too!
Does it fit with 17 inch laptop?
was thinking of getting the black one but with this video, i'm having second thoughts and may get the graphite instead. thanks for the video
np! Yeah. Tough decision, both black and grey look great to me.
Awesome review, pleasure to watch. Just ordered it via your link. And great channel.
Thanks man!
I just subbed. Keep it up man. Awesome quality videos.
