Nothing beats topwater Bass fishing....pure adrenaline! There's gotta be some Giants in there. That 4 pounder was nice! I am the same way when I see ticks crawling on me I'm outta there. I can't stand ticks.....they serve absolutely no purpose on this Earth except to spread disease. When I pull a tick off me I get the creepy crawlies for the rest of the day LOL

Good video. If you go to Walmart, they have what is called "Sawyer" in the sporting goods section. Just spray your clothes and ticks will jump off faster than they jumped on. Wouldn't go in the woods without it,

@@1Rod1ReelFishing I live in TX near a pond that has warning signs of Rattlesnakes so I asked a guy who who walking thru the overgrown grass if he ever worried about the snakes and he said, "I just don't think about them". I wonder if this is some kind of law of attractions at play here.
I know this question wasn't meant for me but I just grab them up a toss them to the side and keep fishing I have even grabbed up timber Rattlers and tossed them out of the way while hiking in my neck of the woods but that's only if I see them before they know I'm there

I fished a community pond in Maryland (still do) and caught a 10 pound bass. I didn’t even know the pond had anything other than sunfish.

Mike, I hope you don’t mind me posting this bit of info here since I don’t have a fishing channel, and I know you are someone who likes teaching your viewers new things. You’ve never mentioned this and most fishing channels never say a word, but......
For those who aren’t able to buy Googan baits and would like to get some. Here is a formula that is quite close to how those baits are made. Can’t patent any combination of ingredients, you can only patent the very specific amounts of each and any process used to combine them if other than just stirring. What I offer is free and can be done to nearly any soft plastic just like adding a scent you pay tons of money for. Biggest differences here....you pay very little for the ingredients AND you can adjust the combination for best results in the waters you fish. Start by buying baits made by Strike King such a The Rage Tail baits and them soak them in a zip lock bag with a mix of Anise oil and Garlic powder. To further increase the effectiveness buy a container of any Gulp Alive bait on sale and keep the fluid in a sturdy container. Add some of that fluid to this mix. Another option is to buy a jug of Menhaden Oil, Tuna Fish Oil, or even save the oil from cans of Sardines. ALL of these oils, even plain corn oil, are excellent for creating a ‘chum slick’ since oil floats on top of water. These oils create a wider range for any fish species to follow to its source. And when fish are coming to YOU, obviously your hook up chances increase immensely.
Also, if anyone has baits made with the chemical formula ElazTech such as many Zman baits are made. ElazTech MELTS when it comes in contact with EVERY OTHER PLASTIC BAIT. So if you use these baits, keep all ElazTech baits in a separate container. A quick touch won’t hurt anything, but if they’re left touching for more than 30 minutes, you’ll ruin your ElazTech baits.

I had to correct some typing and grammatical mistakes from typing too fast which is why it’s edited. Also, I left out that back in NJ while fishing along a bank, I stepped into a Watersnake nesting hole and if it not for the heavy leather boots I had on, I’d have died from the few bites my boots got from a very poisonous mama snake and her kids. Thanks for the love and the like Mike.
Do you have a solid reason why you don’t wear a thick pair of waterproof boots since you’re crazy enough to going walking through areas with snakes? And those leeches were tiny and basically harmless even if they are gross. You asked about being covered in leeches. Go up to Lake Hopatcong in north NJ. Find one of the many shallow coves and got in the water for five minutes and you’ll come out with a dozen big black leeches on whatever water covered parts of your body they found. But those make for excellent bait for big pickerel and monster lake trout. Don’t really have much more than rock bass in NJ. Oh wait, the two lakes the state built Round Lake and Spruce Run Lake which they stocked with Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass along with the typical NJ fish such as Rainbow and Speckled trout.
I go pretty deep in the water, I feel like it would be uncomfortable to walk around in waterlogged boots. I’ve never been bitten by a snake ever, is there a reason to be scared of them?

Truth , I remember the first y.t video I looked up was " ditch fishing " 5 years ago , and his was the first video that came up , long before any of that other bunch , 1 rod and extreme philly still keeping it real ..... no fancy drone shots , just fishing like the rest of us do .

I have that exact frog and it cut off when i casted it cause it was wrapped around the rod, i thought to myself what would 1rod1reel do, no lure left behind i took off all my clothes jumped in the lake with my underwear and swam across to get that shit. So worth it
