In my au William just married twice. His first wife was named Eleanor, which was the kid's biological mother. He remarried a childhood friend later (the blond one seen in the current family pictures). I like his second wife more just because the first one is kind of for making my afton au function and his second wife is just kind so the kids can have a good mom figure and William has a relationship like that to ground him sorta if that makes any sense ;-;
