I love seeing roni excited talking about her Mexican side! As a Mexican it’s nice hearing about how she grew up bc I can relate to having soup during hot weather 😭 I would love to see her cook more Mexican dishes and have Aaron try them🫶🏻
@@ronronfamno worries Ronnie, all you have to do from scratch is get regular non precooked bean bag, pinto beans are great, pour a full bag of beans in a semi big pot, fill to the top with water and allow beans to soak for several hours around 3-4 hours, once beans have been soaking for a bit add salt around 2 or 3 tablespoons of salt and turn on stove heat at medium to low heat for aprox another 3 to 4 hours, DO NOT BOIL AT HIGH HEAT! You might need to gradually add a bit of water since ofcourse it will consume during these cooking hours, you’ll know the beans are ready once they are super soft and easy to bite into, now you’ll have homemade beans to prepare anyway you like, you will have frijoles de la hoya, now while still hot in a pan pour a few spoonfuls of your frijoles de la hoya and use a bean crusher or musher to refry them and you are good to go! Please share the video when you do! 😊
I love how both of you are incorporating both of your cultures into your relationship. Roni is a really good cook and so is aaron. It must have been nice to have whole day of cooked food.
Me watching Toni cook Mexican food like a proud mom 😢 Good Job Roni you killed it we definitely make the dishes differently but obviously are grandparents teach us all there way but it’s very similar great job! 👏🏽 ❤
Yeah I know a lot of it is made different and I think things have been adjusted to our diets as we got older! Like using less sodium, my grandma hates onions and garlic (crazy), so it’s definitely different!
I literally made my hubby molletes today for breakfast! Both sweet and salty, the salty ones with frijoles fritos (refried beens) with salsa mexicana (onion, tomato & Serrano chile (all diced) and queso fresco, it’s a crummy Mexican white cheese (we use this queso on several recipes) and the sweet ones usually go with cajeta, fruit jam or just butter and sugar. Flautas are made with pork, that’s why they are different from taquitos, it has to be pork. That’s pretty cool that Ronnie has Mexico in her family, I really thought they had only Philippino family, I thought she had said that in a previous video, my bad. I live in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, although I was born in Orange County CA, I married my husband here in Mexico and love everything here, hopefully you can visit soon ♥️
This video really brightened my day! Roni and Aaron both exude such a warm, welcoming energy. I want to try everything Roni made/bought in this video now! Also, major props for the video editing! It was fantastic!
This video sure made me hungry lol and just last night I told my mom I wanted a torta or bolillos for breakfast. It's also interesting to see the difference on how we cook certain dishes but as Roni said, to each their own, it's still delicious food 🤤💜
Try the gansito cold, it's so good. Just put the gansito in the fridge. I hope we get a part two with Roni and Nessa cooking Mexican dishes for each other.
I love you guys videos Ik roni says they dont like vlogging much coz she thinks" they are boring n not like other youtubers" but u guys have a very genuine vibe i feel like am at home with my family its so comforting to watch yall roron the twins ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think there are a lot of similarities in Mexico and Philippines cultures, since both were part of the spanish empire. It would be interesting to see you guys compare them. 🇲🇽🇵🇭 Love you guys! Sending you hugs from Mexico!❤️
Video Suggestion : Aaron & his mom to make Filipino food, Roni & her mom to make Spanish food. Then, they will react to each dish. Philippines’ cuisine is very similar to Mexican/Spanish food so it would be a good video to watch! ❤
I am Mexican and not going to lie I was totally expecting you to make the recipes super different! But nope they were super similar to the way I eat them. Such a good job 🤍‼️would love to see more content like this
Roni, refried beans and flan are super easy to make! You should definitely try to make some next time. Also, try making some tacos with horchata:P that would be the perfect meal!
love the video!!! 🇲🇽 molletes are my comfort food any time of the day since my childhood 🥹 I cook the beans with chorizo in them and game changer! 😍 for the flautas you can top them off with some lettuce, crema and queso fresco with some salsa🤤 10/10 for sure
Good job! For the rice for 1 cup of rice you add 2 cups of water. Also try blending the tomatoes with a little piece of onion and garlic glove along with one out of the two cups of water and knor. Once you add the tomato mixture you can add the second cup of water and bring to a boil then turn heat to low and cover it and allow 25ish mins to cook on low.
It's so funny to watch "celebrities " as yourself actually cook when us "regular " people only see you as, you only buy take out or restaurant. Thanks for giving us a day in a life of cooking in a celebrities life!🏅💪👍
I Love this video Roni, and that apron make you look as a authentic mexican mamá or abuelita, i recommend you to first toast the bolillo and add butter as a first step, they will taste amazing, and for the flautas use some lettuce and tomato as a topping and some crema, thank me later
Mmmmm, now I am thinking of homemade rice pudding, baked custard, chocolate pudding, flan... you should definitely make it a cooking/video challenge!!! One main Filipino dish and dessert and one popular Mexican dish and dessert for the two of you to learn together!!! 🎉❤ Or a competition, but I like the idea of learning each other's cultures together in a non-stressful way. Flan, custard, and homemade puddings are overwhelming the first time through, but afterwards you are fine!!! 😊
I’m not going to judge just because like you said you’re half Mexican. I love that you embrace your Hispanic side 💗 I had the privilege to grow up with fully Mexican parents and learning Spanish so I realize now it is a privilege to grow the way I grew it up. Still you did a super good job Roni 😂❤
Beans are easy to make! My mom uses pinto beans and she lets them cook in the pressure cooker. Just add water (enough to where the beans won’t dry out) and add salt too! We don’t measure anything, we just eye ball it and go by taste. Try it out Roni !
Making molletes in the oven... mija, turn on the comal! haha also, the taquito is just the american version of a flauta, they're the same. Add cilantro and celery to the soup! It'd be more flavorful
Not me saying everything she said when she made the breakfast about the chorizo and stuff 😂🤣 And you know we all do stuff differently but over all you did the best you can do! 💜💜
I'm 100% mexican and still living in Mexico, and Flautas are also made with corn tortillas, as well as taquitos. The difference is that tacos are tortillas folded in half and flautas are tortillas rolled up with chicken or beef or tuna inside, but they're called Flautas cause the shape is simillar to a flute lol :) Loved this videoooo, try making Chilaquileeees
Great Job Roni! I learn from watching your cooking videos ...so round of applause to you. Agreed cooking is so much fun. I’m learning to cook each time by making mistakes and trying again. Always making things extra crispy tho. All I know is that at the end of cooking I use so many dishes and I get so tired. It’s a whole lot of work. But it does bring people together with joy. 🤗
Make Aaron try choco flan! It's even better than regular flan because it has a chocolate cake base at the bottom and the regular flan at the top. Its so good!
I love seeing roni excited talking about her Mexican side! As a Mexican it’s nice hearing about how she grew up bc I can relate to having soup during hot weather 😭 I would love to see her cook more Mexican dishes and have Aaron try them🫶🏻
Love soup, any meal, breakfast too.
I love how RonRon are always willing to show us both sides of their culture....I think now Aaron should try and help Roni make pozole!
As a fellow Mexican, Ronnie you are doing everything absolutely 10/10, so cool to see this side of you!
I wanna see Roni learn how to make refried beans AND flan! Partially because I’d also like to learn those things🤣
IT LOOKS HARD
@@ronronfam flan is soooo easy to make queen!! don’t worry 🤗
@@ronronfamif ya need a recipe i got you 🫡

Omg I didn’t know Roni was Mexican!! 😍🥰🇲🇽
