I liked your review and your reasons for reviewing this optic. I’ve read a lot of reviews about the newer LVPOs and 1x10s, and glass clarity even on some of the higher end options isn’t always perfect. I did some bench shooting for a while with a carbine - bought a relatively inexpensive 4x16 for it - some say way too much for a carbine length. 5.56, but gave me the experience of seeing how much magnification I needed to be confident at 500m. I ended up settling on a 10x setting because it gave me enough to see a 3x5 inch piece of steel and read the mirages that with the advise of an old scout-sniper, was an indication of the wind down range. The scope was fairly basic with holdovers on the reticle, but not distracting. Anyway, a lot of the new 1x10 reviews I’ve seen tended to suggest that the clarity and field of view at the top level needed improvement. That’s why I haven’t broke down and bought a 1x10. On the other hand, looks like EOTech has improved on other features.
When I was decades younger the rule of thumb was that a good optic would cost as much as your rifle. Advances in technology have made for some really great bargains nowadays but I still feel that you get what you pay for when it comes to top-tier optics. Thank you and happy Easter! 🔫🐰😛
Honestly, ignore the people complaining. I'm a 100% disabled vet on a fixed budget. If you do a video about something expensive that I can't afford, I have the amazing ability to click on another video! And I'm sure everyone else does at well. So you just keep making YOUR videos and ignore the nay sayers!
Yeah people are moody and may never be satisfied. I like your videos. Screw the moody know it alls that may not even make their own videos but can run their mouths.
Ok, so real talk: this or the PA PLxC 1-8? I get the Vudu has 10x vs 8x, but how do you like the Vudu glass clarity and brightness vs PLx? I’m assuming the Vudu is better albeit not night and day.
I was thrown off by your recording of the lit reticle, there appeared to some strobing and the center of the reticle really didn't illuminate very well. Was this just strobing from the internal led high speed flashing being picked up by the camera?
My friend is trying to sell me the 1-10 sr5 with 2 inch unity mounts for $1,200.. I’ve been strongly considering it bc I was going to buy a 400$ lpvo but maybe it’ll be worth saving up for it bc it seem like a bargain
Since when are Vortex optics considered cheap? Whoever believes that has more than likely never used more than one or any of them. Vortex covers all ranges of the market price wise. My first LPVO was a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1x6. They're pretty old now, pushing a decade I believe and are still dominating the mid range 1x6 market as far as quality to price goes.
Used to feel the same way. BUT the controls are better, glass is clearer, tracking more precise, all around better. If you’re gonna run it a ton and get banged up, or if you’re into competition, the money is WELL worth the investment.
It’s like all the people that chime in on a gun review for 5.7 x 28 being too expensive to shoot came over to your review to complain about expensive optics. 😂
So, most of the optic reviews are budget chinese made at roughly 200-300. And to counter the comments you jumped up to 1800-1900 price point? People who can afford that are already going to buy it because it's high end without needing a review to justify buying it. Why not instead of choosing the most expensive one, do some more middle range optics that aren't junk cheap or the most expensive, but something that's in the middle where a review is going to actually make sense that has good quality to it
LMAO😅. You are the best. To spend that much money on accessories means that you are going to war, hunting , or training others to me. Let's find out if another country makes budget optics to please some of your viewers.
Keeps talking about how other Chinese bullshit is cheaper, but doesn’t mention how much more reliable American made QUALITY optics are. You get what you pay for.
Its an awesome optic but it's pointless on a sub 1000$ weapon. My ratio is not more than half of the rifles value in the optics. Those with deep pockets have at it .... Imma pass. Vortex is plenty awesome for me.
@@stephen_crumleydouble?? The ratio breaks down at crazy ends of the spectrum. The general rule is spend the same on your optic as the rifle (or be willing to). In reality, it depends on what you’re trying to do. There are some NICE ARs out there that may just prefer a dot. They might want to run an Aimpoint over a Romeo5, but they might not even be spending half of their rifle’s price on that setup. Move into magnification, and there’s naturally a higher starting price or barrier to entry.
I don't see why the price need justified. The only quality 1-10 LPVO I'm aware of that is substantially cheaper is the Sig Tango MSR 1-10 which drops in clarity after you pass 8x magnification.
With NO WIND HOLDS ITS NOT WORTH EVEN CONSIDERING ESPECIALLY WITH 10x . Anything passed 100yrds w/3x needs wind holds , a MUST HAVE ! JUST STOP RIGHT THERE 👎
Because AR15 rifles can’t be put on safety unless the hammer is cocked & what’s the point of charging the rifle with no mag or round in the chamber just to appease wanna be safety officers on UA-cam

I have the Vudu 1-8 , best purchase I have made. Amazing Glass

Dudes that get 100% love telling other people they’re 100% lol. $3800/month with no dependents is good money.
Happy Easter
Nice..although pricey, but definitely not China junk
Japanese glass is one of the best. Just look at sony camera lens.
I’m on the rule of thumb to never cheap out on life saving equipment.
I stick with Trijicon, Eotech and Nightforce for LPVOs.
100% agreed, this is life saving equipment and I want to ensure this thing works as intended when I need it the most.
That's pretty slick! It'd be epic on the Sig Cross for small scope.
Would love to have that 🤗
I bet not one of those guys complaining about your budget optic vids goes out and buys one of these.
Yeah people are moody and may never be satisfied. I like your videos. Screw the moody know it alls that may not even make their own videos but can run their mouths.
$1,640 on Amazon. I’d still like to have one though! Lol
Maybe the one on Amazon is a clone.
Thanks
Great review! Do you have any optic planet promo codes?
Quite a swing from Monstrum to Eotech!😂
Super high quality, just can’t justify it!

For that kind of money I would invest in a Vortex. It comes with a no question asked, transferable life time warranty. Vortex is better anyway.
Razor HD G3 is…quite a bit more expensive.

That’s a camera artifact.
I have but one arm or one leg to offer up for the purchase of this optic.
No water bottle test???
People don’t understand that eotech primary arms and Trijicon is all made in the same factory. 😂

If ya got the quiche, this is the one to get.
Is everything a system? I’m typing this on my phone system
One who pleases everyone ends up pleasing no one. As a wise man said. 🤙🏼

$1600 for something thats gonna sit in a safe? Naw I'll pass. My $250 Primary Arms is more than i'll ever need out of an optic.
If yours is just gonna sit in a safe then that's fair. But for somebody who shoots often enough it's not a bad idea to spend 1600 on an optic
This is a joke right😂
Used to feel the same way. BUT the controls are better, glass is clearer, tracking more precise, all around better. If you’re gonna run it a ton and get banged up, or if you’re into competition, the money is WELL worth the investment.
Sit in a safe? Damn guess we spotted the fudd who ONLY hunts and never trains or roughens up their rifles. 😂
If it's just going to sit in a safe use, magpul backup sights.
For the $$$, I’ll go
With the PA PLX1-8x ACSS 😊
I am torn between these two!
Nice but way out of my price range.

I'll take Japanese over Chinese any day, just gotta sell a kidney first !! LOL
Sorry, can’t afford it. Hard pass for me!!!

Your ratio is wrong, optics should be double the cost of the firearm at a minimum

There's nothing eotech does different that justifies the prices they charge. I would LOVE to hear them try to justify it.
My Vortex is $2,400 🤷♀️

It has 1 MRAD marks if you watched him go over the reticle.
Ive noticed that ur rifles are in the fire position when you do these videos. Why not keep it on safe? Just saying
