✅ PLDT 2023 - International Symposium on Paediatric Liver Diseases and Transplantation, was organized on March 18 and 19, 2023, by The Liver Pancreas Foundation of Hyderabad and PACE Hospitals, Hyderabad, in collaboration with TSISG, LTSI, PATS, Osmania General Hospital, and Gandhi Hospital at the HICC, Novotel Convention Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, inaugurated and attended by the eminient and renowned personalities in the field of Liver Diseases and Transplantation.
✅ It was the first of its kind meeting on Paediatric Liver Transplantation in India, involving Paediatricians, Gastroenterologists and Surgeons, and experts from India and worldwide.

Pediatric acute liver failure (PALF) is a rare but life-threatening condition that occurs in children under the age of 18. It is defined as the rapid onset of severe liver dysfunction, which can lead to multiple organ failure and death if not promptly recognized and treated.
Symptoms of PALF can include jaundice, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and altered mental status. Diagnosis involves a thorough physical examination, blood tests to assess liver function and other organ systems, imaging studies such as ultrasound or MRI, and sometimes liver biopsy.
