The ROH title is a WORLD title because it has been held by americans an English man a latino and a japanesse and also its has been defended all over the world SO YOU CAN CONSIDER IT A LEGIT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Promos fascinate me, and Jay is so far ahead of the other guys (all great wrestlers btw) on promo here it's kind of ridiculous. Steen is good too, and I think he purposefully played the tone down so they could end the video with the right energy, but I've never seen any indie worker sell genuine passion and intensity like Jay. Just the natural dynamism. Notice how he shifts gears with "11 years" and again with "be damned" and repeats "Kevin Steen..." while raising the stakes to close the promo. 34 seconds of gold. God I'm gonna miss him.
"There's not going to be a match at Supercard of Honor! Shelton's not gonna be there!" Bottom of Screen: CHARLIE HAAS WILL NOT APPEAR THIS FRIDAY; SHELTON BENJAMIN WILL BE AT SUPERCARD OF HONOR Oh, the irony...
Every time I see Truth Martini, I always think of that Aerosmith song-- "Dude Looks Like a Lady"--I think it's because of that string of pearls he wears, I dunno. :)
Actually, just to correct you here, Wikipedia isn't the body that states what a World Championship is, Pro Wrestling Illustrated is. And they recognize the ROH World Championship as a World Championship, it is one of four in America, so you can throw Wikipedia out the window.
Adam Cole vs Steen could be a good match I would not mind seeing Elgin vs Steen again loved there match from GBH Steen vs Champa would be really good I mean if Champa could wrestle a 2 - 3 falls match from start to finish injured then it should be really good Those are just a few and the thing is he always takes on someone different for the Title I do think Leathel is the only person to get 2 shots at Steen for the ROH World Title
I agree with everything you're saying, but ROH needs something more than big matches, they need stars, and no offense to any of those guys you mentioned but they aint it. Jay Briscoe is the most underrated promo in the business right now with charisma out the ass. I honestly think he could be the new generation steve austin like Rock was a new millenium Ric flair. Now Im not saying he'd draw Austin money, but I think he could give ROH some kind of boost
Well 8 years later and almost all of these guys (Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Eddie Edwards Bobby Fish) are all now huge stars in wrestling.
I bought a ticket to this because "Supercard" used to mean they'd get wrestlers from all over the world. Then I see the final card and it's this crap. I really don't like where this company is right now, I've been following since 2005 and it's gone so down hill.
8 years later and these “Crap” stars (Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Eddie Edwards, Bobby Fish) are some of the biggest stars in wrestling.
FFFUUUCCKKK SOME of these promos are horrible. Cornette REALLY had his hands full of charismaless vampires... But they could work in the ring.. It’s amazing in the difference between some of these guys’ work rate and the fact that they cannot cut good promos at all. Many come across as playing wrestler really bad. But shit if you never let them talk, they might eventually be able to get over.Lol. Mangers please!! Even if Ive watched a guy work many matches, And through his facial expressions and body language I have formed an opinion in my head of what he might sound like when he talks or what layers his charecter might have; sometimes it’s best to let the fans stay with that impression, when Some of these guys talk... The whole suspension of disbelief is gone and I can never look at them the same again...
@@romanramirez7847 YeH I respect those guys for SURE. They had major weaknesses in their game no matter how great they were in the ring. That’s not the game in American Wrestling. But those guys being as great as they are in the ring have put that work ethic over the years into developing some personality and more character. I Hope those guys together get drafted as a team together, I feel like they BC they’re so damn good as a team they can get away with not having the size.
Funny you saying this and 8 years later most of these guys (Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Eddie Edwards, Bobby Fish) have become some of the biggest stars in wrestling.

To be fair, Haas flat out says there's not going to be a match at Supercard of Honor. He made sure he was right.

Gotta love Roddy dribbling that invisible basketball during his promo.
The awkward moment when ROH's hype video hypes a Haas/Benjamin match that won't be happening
Nigel Mcguinness, Homicide, and Takeshi Morishima would tell you different.
"There's not going to be a match at Supercard of Honor! Shelton's not gonna be there!"
Bottom of Screen: CHARLIE HAAS WILL NOT APPEAR THIS FRIDAY; SHELTON BENJAMIN WILL BE AT SUPERCARD OF HONOR
Oh, the irony...
Rebuilding mode and they been getting back to putting on good shows since last October.
I really wish I could be there ... ROH Supercard of Honor VII is going to be EPIC!
This card sells out a big arena today...
They are all bigger names today.....
Truth Martini looks like Willie Wonka
Every time I see Truth Martini, I always think of that Aerosmith song--
"Dude Looks Like a Lady"--I think it's because of that string of pearls he wears, I dunno. :)
Are they gonna unveil a RoH women's title soon?
Steen and Briscoe are so much better at promos than the rest of the company.
8 years later and thankfully, Roderick Strong, Eddie Edwards, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly have drastically improved their promo skills.
Actually, just to correct you here, Wikipedia isn't the body that states what a World Championship is, Pro Wrestling Illustrated is. And they recognize the ROH World Championship as a World Championship, it is one of four in America, so you can throw Wikipedia out the window.
hell of an undercard!
They should just put the belt on Briscoe, who else is even around to challenge Steen?
Adam Cole vs Steen could be a good match

I miss HOOPLA, I miss Truth Martini. 🤘🏻🔥
Just because its not in Wiki doesn't mean it isn't a world title.
Did Kevin lose weight?
This is cool but more wrestling matches please.
and Jay Briscoe
it's like ROH went backwards with their production quality wth
i think you mean kevin steen vs adam cole could be a GREAT match!
How the hell did Kevin owens make it to the wwe
Davey Richards always had the corniest promos. They always sounded like the clichéd promos you did in the mirror when you were like 12 lol
Eddie has always had better mic skills.
Why does Davey Richards look like a teenager all of a sudden.
I'd love if they let Jay Briscoe go over Steen
Davey Richards...is a short man.

Most of them have improved in their promos since then. Take a look at Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly now.

No hype for the ten man tag scum vs roh disgraceful
How did this company become such a joke ??
