I crochet so this is a great idea I could use crochet with. I make mats out of the plastic but I use cotton yarn for the Homeless to lay on and it’s warm in the winter and cool in the summer and you can wash it. Organization is hope for the homeless. In Arizona. Thank you for your videos this is great!
stop nit picking and be thankful to people who give their time and energy to bring their idea;s to people like those who complain and moan if you do not like what you see move on and let other enjoy watching , thankyou for your hard work karina
Thank you, Ms. Thompson! I agree. If I were giving this as a gift for a birthday, I'd probably use new bags, but my friends wouldn't care, they'd love the idea and the look of the item and we'd all be sitting around making purses. Using a box of garbage bags would make several very strong purses. They could be given to a homeless shelter. If the shelter filled them with soap, toothpaste, combs, brushes, deodorant, sanitary supplies etc.and gave them to women, I'm sure they would be greatly appreciated. This would also be a wonderful youth project for the church or a community service project for Girl Scouts, etc. It's awful when people get stuck on the "title" and not the message of the post. Have a BLESSED day and thanks for adding your comment. I'm calling up my girlfriends to let them know I found us a new project to work on! CIAO BELLA!
I am very big on Dalmatians, so I love this with the black and white, the only thing I would change is the method you use to tie the bags together... if you look into other plarn tutorials, there is a way to join them together with a much smaller knot and no ends to tuck in. It would create a much smoother back. I may actually try to make a blanket with this pattern.
Very nice! I love it and the tutorial here in you tube is excellent. I'm looking forward to making one soon... I must add I just absolutely love your table cloth!

I read a lot of the comments. I bet you can get a real scrappy bag using the used plastic bags I saw mentioned. They come in all colors. I do scrappy with left over fabric. The plastic bags will make a delightful bag. Think I'll try it myself. Thanks so much for your tutorial.
This turned out beautiful! But I do agree that using new bags is essential for a clean bag, but isn't recycling. Still very cool technique and well done!
WOW SO,SO,SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t wait to try one of my own!!! I’ve just gotta STOP WATCHING you and get my rear in gear!!! ROFL. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND YOUR ACCENT1! Soooooo coool!!! LoL!
Great tutorial and lovely vag! Buying and using NEW plastic bags though is hardly recycling. Rather the opposite, as it only increases consumption. Great idea for used ones, though - if they're clean enough.
It would be great at the beach without the liner. Just swish it in the water to get the sand off and you are good to go. I have several black bags that I had used for storing blankets and seasonal clothes that after a couple of years get a bit worn and stretched... This is a great way to recycle them.
People that might get upset. It might not be recycling but if you think about it. It is you stopped those bags from going to the landfill. Thank you love it. Keep up the good work. P.s you never said it was from used plastic bags.
zebs no matter how good art you do.. how good you teach to people or best effort you put... there will be always people who are jealous of you who will never appreciate you and find faults in you. this means you did outstanding work and they can not compete you... keep your head high and keep doing good work... don't reply to such idiots... God bless you always
You misunderstood their comments, nothing to do with jealousy but she titled her work as RECYCLED, perhaps she should use a different word like "garbage bag multiple uses?"
Yes, cassie you are right, its a demo . You may recycle used plastic bags into a fine looking hand bag. I actually used this purse in public and it looks awesome, trust me.
What kind of needle did you use it was very long with a big eye hole in it and I have very poor eye sight and I would like to get one like that also you use two different kind of tape what kind because I like to follow great work to the letter and this was incredible? Please write back soon because I can't wait to get started.
Kevin Reid , Thank you for your response. The needle that I used is a very simple 4”inch long needle, you will get in any tailoring material shop. And the tape is called the duck / fabric tape. 😊
It can't be waterproof. The braids have gaps every wrap. All of these bags, crocheted, knitted or braided sink like rocks when placed in water. Also you put anything wet inside, it loleakes like a sieve. I have made plenty. After All the bags are made incur up strips
@@janetwilliams8630 she meant that it can get wet, not that it holds water. But it's lined with fabric, so one could just as well take a cotton tote, or an ordinary wicker basket.
So what if they are used bags u can save the bags that carried clean items home the others u can shred and put them in your potted plants to help air your soil
