I've been to Delhi, Agra to see the Taj Mahal, and Mumbai. I was staying in Delhi for a couple of days, I wouldn't stay there again. Mumbai was cool though, very chilled and nobody bothers you.

You should visit Kerala - that is the best place for tourists. Many foreigners mistake is they mostly visit commercial places and do not visit the best destinations.
It's safe, but I highly recommend you to travel with a local friend from Delhi he/she will save your money , you can get them on Instagram , before visiting any country, You actually paid double then the normal amount to rickshaws & taxi 😶
