Just one correction so whole defence expenditure we don't use for arms procurement only very small share goes for arms procurement but lion share is spend on salery and pensions so this 64 billion figure is actually while defence budget and few billions only goes for arms and imports + We do have forex around 550+- and we can't afford to expand 10 percent on arms procurement bcuz crude oil for time being much important than arms and wars Shining example Ukraine war....
61 billion usd is incorrect Because our total defense budget is 76 billion USD and we spend almost 50 percent on salary and pension and Then we spend on arms and animations almost 20 percent , then we spend rarely 10-15 percent of our defense budget on modernization

The biggest flaw in BEL is the equity size.. Just look at the equity size and EPS.. THe govt has literally squeezed all the juice from BEL now.. HAL is the best bet for now and then BDL, Data Patterns Solar industries would have been a good bet but it's Superrrrrrrrrr expensive for now... And bt expensive I mean the PE, ROCE and other factors and not the stock price
