How to cheese the game: be better than other people
I'm not sure what you were talking about in the beginning of the video about showing dev's something wrong with the game. I assumed you meant an exploit but the rest of the video was just about aggressively completing your task. Aggression is a very viable strategy in games, even stealth ones. Killing all of the other players or npc's as well. After all did you really fail your stealth mission if there was no one alive to say you were there? I don't think being aggressive and pushing the other players to try to finish before you will ever be "fixed".
They could implement something like sprinting a certain amount sends a ping to your location or maybe a stamina bar unless you have the briefcase.
@@Serroh Coming off of those ideas, the best thing that they could likely implement is when a player starts running they have loud footsteps. It works as a ping that isn't a super huge detriment to the aggressive playstyle. I do think your stamina bar idea is good, I'd say when they have the briefcase though. I assume these are trained spies, they would have athletic ability. Running for them should be easy but running with full hands is hard for anyone. Beyond that, it would add to gameplay making it harder for them to escape and they would have to out maneuver other players.
Crazy thought.. make everyone have less health and weapons deal significantly more damage.. meaning 2 shot to kill.. that would ensure everyone stays as sneaky as possible because if you’re caught sprinting you’re dead before you can even react to getting shot in the back..
You also make the guards deal 2 shot kill damage as well. If you’re running around gunning down NPCs then you’ll drop just as quick. So you have to be extra sure you’re willing to pull the trigger before you do.
@@adisjasarevic4011 I get the idea. But they will likely lose players. It's better to nerf aggressive play just a little instead of outright killing it. It's good a game has different styles of play. There are a number of people who just skip npc dialogue nowdays. I can't see that type of player ever playing a game where you absolutely had to stealth and it took 40 minutes or longer to finish one game. It took Serroh almost 14 minutes rushing as much he could.
@@Reminant29 fair. I see your point. Although adding a “hardcore” mode as a separate play option for the more competitive type players would be an interesting thing to add as an option, even if it meant matches last an hour a piece. It would definitely be played a different way and add a sense of intensity.
When you entered the purple room at around 6:30 you can tell it’s another player as blue guard NPCs will never go in a purple room. I don’t think you’ve identified anything that needs to be fixed here, aggression is a viable strategy. Also seems like if the enemies used any techs like turrets or shields they could’ve won so you might just be farming noobs tbh.
You only had a cozy lobby. There are many people who play aggressively. I just do not understand what to fix it?

The fix is easy... nothing needs to be done. Players will eventually learn to shoot ppl running.
@Anomaly Evolution or dart them follow them set them up place trip wires outside the vault they just entered. So many options lol.
This game desperately needs a hardcore mode where you can get killed way faster so it actually encourages stealth and smart play.
That sparkling/shining noise at 3:52 is the key card noise. If you guys hear that, grab the keycard. That’s the whole reason he wanted to go into that room but then he forgot about it lol
I think for a game focused on stealth, disgusing and being a spy, there should be some kinda penalty for being caught out of disguise by npcs and just rushing. Maybe a stamina bar so you cant just sprint all over the place and maybe if you are caught out by npcs there is like a short ping.
Or make it so other NPC don't sprint so you always know it is a player. Some NPC run aswell. So everytime you see someone sprint it should be a player. That would make perfectly sense, i mean why would NPC run for no reason. They should only run when there is gunfights around.
@@andreassvensson811 that wouldn’t solve anything tho. So what if you know it’s him, if you shoot him, he will run away really fast and you’ll have to deal with guards for shooting and maybe other players who might have an easier shot on you than him.
@@Summonick2 According to your reply here it defenitely sounds like it will solve the issues i was thinking about. What you just said opens up the decision making factor in thses situations to reward smart plays during the game. Do i initiate this fight or am i better off leaving this alone staying in cover? Decreasing the possibility of npcs sprinting randomly will make the tactic in the video less efficient. Because you will get spotted easily and who said it is hard to kill someone that runs around. Just try get close and run after him and attack and don't leave him off your sight until he is dead. If you can't manage to kill someone there is no issues on the game that needs to be fixed. It is the player himself that needs to practice aim and hunting. The guy playing here is just playing aggressive and punishing the guys hunting him, which could have aswell killed him instead. The title applied to this tactic in the video is misleading. :)

Quick tip if you left click on any destination after you press Q it will give you navigation to that point so you don’t get lost

Is anyone else just struggling to win at all? I'm so confused since this game just released and it feels like most of the people I play with are pro level. I'm assuming many played the beta or something because this is pretty frustrating.
I've gone for no kill runs,the 2 ive won was a dead sprint to the end,similar to this guy,sorta lucked out.The stealth aspect is very fun tho in the sense where I just looted and kited the briefcase,let them fight then got the last kill.
Totally - last night matchmaking pitted me against players 50 levels higher than me (account level). Not just once either. They need to drop in some form of MMR to stop new players (or those not so great with mechanical skills) being pitted against experienced and better players. It’s going to just drive the majority player base away (yes the majority player base in most fps games are average)

wasn't really interested in this game but that was super entertaining! would love to see you do it with some different weapons/characters if you decide to play more!
This strategy will stop working in a week or two as people get more familiar with the game.

About the only thing I could see that this needs is a Stamina meter for running. Otherwise it seems fine since speeding doesn't really leave players behind, just gives them more time to setup while you complete objectives.
If you play this style every game - you’ll win maybe max 1 time per 100 games
The guards need to attack you when you run and that would balance the game.
Wish I had bots like he had in my lobbies
So what exactly did you show that the devs have to adjust? Just see you playing aggressive which will be countered by another aggressive player or someone that can actually shoot back lol
The main idea is that this game shouldn't be an escape from tarkov.

Being aggressive is possible, but really good players you might die fast also. I prefer a stealthy approach.

Speed running isn't op. I punish players doing it all the time. Even if they don't die it costs 3 to heal unless they have like purple social. And it costs time. Not to mention u can predict where they'll heal pretty easily with map knowledge.

@GlueFox it does work against good players. Sometimes. There's a time and a place to move very fast bounce pad up to second floor and get inside a vault before anyone even shows up.
And there's a time to sit down. Chill a Lil. Smell the flowers look an npc. Maybe pretend to glitch on a door like one. Walk everywhere. Just depends on the context of the situation.
@GlueFox like don't kno where any spys are and it's the center of the map? Prob shouldn't sprint all the way to a vault.
There's a fight happening and npcs should be running away? Sprint away then jump up to the second floor of a building immediately change ur disguise and slip into a vault faster then anyone can punish u.
(Edit: also key cards. U can pull of speed running a lot easier if u don't have to stand still on a door for 30 seconds lol.
@GlueFox sorry for spamming u. But even ir character matters! Larcin with his ability can get out of almost any situation if used right. So speed running with him is much more viable since u can escape a situation and then slow down til ur power comes back. Ace tho? Much more risky to speed run with. So u gotta be sure.
@@honkbrother8000 no worries bud :) yea sure it can work in some cases for sure but not like this, and that was my point. he was playing agains new players that are scared and just sneaking around trying to get their green and plue perks. higher lvl players would react and dont let him roam around and do what the hell he want.
Picks squire (character great for speeed and picking up items) then plays aggressively in a passive lobby and claims the game needs to be fixed. Also the way you played any half decent player would’ve spotted you multiple times because NPCs don’t zigzag run all over the place.
Game is very addicting. I won the first 7 games I played with this strategy it’s fun. I use Chavez and go for headshots and it kills most

GOTTA be on PC. That revolver genuinely sucks, probably 20dmg (I'm guessing. Game doesn't tell you.) Per shot? In a 6 shot revolver?
Wow if you didn't have that golden chip you probably wouldn't have made it. You ended of with 11 hp meaning if you didn't have that extra 15 hp you would have gotten downed i think.

Seems like the aggressive play will only work if you have a good aim. Idk about the rest of you but I kill anyone running lol.
Sprinting should break cover after a very short time (holo tech goes unstable)(time based on perks)
It needs a little bit of Rainbow Six Siege combat damage, because it feels too much like OverWatch, and I think it's going to be bad for the game when its bullet sponginess over strategy, and it being a strategy game makes it strange that brute force and sponginess is the only thing that works when it comes to incapacitating. Where is my watch darts?!, I'm tired of this needless barbarism, just teach me moytie, confu, and that's it.

Not saying this isn’t a bad way to play but if ur going aganist someone stealthy and ur running they got the jump on you if people in this lobby were better you would of died
This is a strat, but probably not a 'good' strat. Probably playing against new or slower players. You'll get punished by better players for doing this
First and foremost let me say great play! But I think the intro of your video should have been reworded. You weren't showing devs a strategy that needs to be fixed, you were showing players a strategy they need to use more often. This game is supposed to be about stealth and being sneaky but it's a race to get the briefcase and leave. The person who risks their cover more often will be rewarded. You'll probably have to fight more often, which you do well so that makes you a great spy lol
I personally avoid fights and walk more often and only engage when I know there's a player around me, but that's just how I want to play and I probably could benefit from being more aggressive but I think this game caters too the spy fantasy we all want to live out individually. Keep on spreading the word about this game!
he was only acc lvl 9 when he gets to lvl 20 he will meet lvl 100+ players and you can not play like that against them. they know the maps and willl see him running and just wait outside the purple rooms.
@@MrLdemo Yaya You can't speedrun levels the same way with higher level players but I think all high level players utilize aggressive pushing when it's necessary. Whether to push the pace of the game or trying to steal gold chips off of players

So your “broken” strategy to win every game is to play the game in a way completely permitted and anticipated by the devs? I’m confused. This vid was set up to be a “secret” broken strat but it’s actually just a totally normal match.
Whilst a completely viable tactic and 100% permissible it’s sad to see such a relatively unique game genre (perhaps even completely unique) boiled down to pure fps rush. It’s now the most widely adopted approach to the game I see and, imho, undermines what makes the game so good, it’s subterfuge spy gameplay. It’s for this very reason I feel less inclined to play and my mouse cursor drifts to other titles that embed the games unique nature ( like DBD). There is no way to stop it and it will sadly just turn the game into just another fps title with an objective.
I'm not very good at shootouts, so woth those sort of people, I like to shoot them a bit and creatively run away. I like to assume it leaves them kind of on edge for the rest of the match so they put a little more effort into not being so conspicuous.
@@ShinFahima whilst I like your thinking I suspect those people love a shootout and would crave more. I don’t play the game anymore simply because people do just play it like this guy. I should have guessed it would happen and it’s a perfectly viable tactic. It just doesn’t lean into what makes the game different. For me, it was money wasted sadly.

Well kinda easy with crossplay... Its just unfair playing against pc players, as a console player.
This game desperately needs a lower TTK and lower movement speed. Getting the jump on someone using your disguise (the only interesting part of the game) barely gives you an advantage because every fight is a 45 second jump battle, and the speedrunner you got the jump on probably has 15% more health than you. Part of what makes Hunt Showdown so fun is that stealth can immediately win you a fight if you headshot someone from the trees, rewarding players for playing around the game's most interesting mechanics (stealth, sound, monsters, environment). This game has absolutely no longevity as it is because people realize after a few hours of gameplay that disguises are just a gimmick, and the rest of the game is just an iphone-tier shooter with a vaguely spy themed objective and extracts. Pretty disappointed with the direction they decided to take the game. It's just very shallow.
It’s also just released. I’m sure it’ll get many changes though out the next few weeks. I just hope it doesn’t die out by then.

Yeah that’s why I suggest even if you’re caught you can just sprint around corners and run away. It’s very easy to hide after being detected.
