I didn’t like Donda at first. I went in too fast expecting old Kanye, as I always do. I listened to it a bit and the was like “nah.” Then one of my friends was like “it’s Kanye’s best album IMO”. So I took the time to listen to the whole thing straight. That was like a month ago and it’s pretty much all I’ve been listening to since. It’s an amazing album. I haven’t appreciated an album this much in such a long time.
Same, I was looking for TLOP kanye cuz that was the weekly Favorite ye album, but once I sat down alone and with some headphones I done ascended. Now like 80 percent of the songs are on my playlist
I think a lot of it is that we are conditioned to listen to one-hit-wonders and singles and we as a people have forgot how to slow down and appreciate a full album
fr i originally thought it was like 3/4 good and the rest was meh. after listening to it so much ive grown to love it so much, bumped this whole album for like 3 monthes lmfao. probably my fav ye album honestly.
I dont listen to it like an album front to back, but usually get lost in it darting between my favourites. Not the best sequencing but definitely its own little world. Aged well 👍
Never really listened to kanye other than maybe when a song of his was in the radio.Donda was the first kanye album i actually listened to and after replaying these songs it gets better everytime, its diffrent from the usual stuff i listen to. I actually went back to his older albums to give those a listen and was impressed
You know sometimes I really wonder if God is real and really have my doubts, then I think of how a man like Kanye who has every thing , still seeks God , then who am I not to believe?
While lying on my bed in my dark room and listening to this, I was watching the dark, dark blue sky. With the tears of pain in my eyes, I saw how out of nowhere a very bright star appeared for half a second and vanished, leaving me with a sudden feeling of joy. We see beauty in places where we don't expect it to be. Maybe the dark, dark blue sky is our self, our soul, or something else. I'm highly lucky to be the witness of the end of a star's life. It's incredible how the end of such an amazing thing is still amazing from far away. I guess the distance between me and the star could also be interpreted as time. It feels painful at the beginning. It hurts when amazing things break down. But maybe it's for the better. I really enjoyed the glimpse of the moment we shared in this universe, beb. You'll forever be a part of me, and I will remember you with your shine and your smile. May may

Looking at where Kanye is now musically and mentally is so depressing it's crazy how he was capable of making music like this just 3 years ago but after 2022 everything just went downhill I pray every day that he gets back on track one day cuz I really don't want him to ruin his career
