If you really don’t want to hear the odd music or adverts as some complain about pay for a copy of this audio book rather than complain about an interruption in this stolen copy.
Oh, please don’t put such horrible music in the middle of an old classic British novel from decades ago. It really spoils the flow. Every evening, I put a story on repeat all night, and the shock of loud dance music or screechy voices wakes me up with a shock! If you really have to have music, could it be gentle, slow music with no dance element, no drums etc. and quieter than the human voice. Many thanks. ❤
Sometimes people sound off thinking they're writing something factual in their comments and they get snooty and self-righteous about it but their factual information ends up being incorrect
Still always shocked at the extinction of manners these days. So many want someone else to put in the work all free to them mind you then complain & criticize believing themselves entitled & justisfied. I'm grateful theres still decent humans that exist though fewer it seems daily. Quite appalling & pathetic & a world I refuse to accept or live in.
This recording is a pirated copy of a copy of a copy… Who knows how far back it goes where someone put that music in there to get it to upload at all. But since we are all listening to an illegally posted recording I’d suggest that no one complains lest there be nothing to listen to at all as we are also engaging in possibly extra-legal activities by listening and participating. By the time you get to the music, and especially on hearing it, you must know that this is an illegal bootleg copy and have listened long enough to be complicit.
I went to another channel with no music and fewer ads. But please continue lurking & skulking in the YT netherworld you've imagined. To each, their own. 🌿
Did you know, these and lots of others are available, also for free, at public libraries. They have digital, CD, and on a rare occasion, on cassette tape. Are you okay with free libraries?
Playing miss Marple is very different to reading the book. Far too slurred and gabbled and too indistinct with the different voices. Couldn't finish this, much as I enjoyed her portrayal of film.

1:03:56 music starts, 1:06:47 music ends
What a sweet delight to listen to this reading ❤

This reader has a beautiful voice - lovely register, and not so tight or 'raspy' as another reader (her name escapes me.)
Stephanie Cole 😊
Thank you for her name🤭
Weird music but at least you can go and make cuppa
The "other reader" is Joan Hickson.

I believe the narrator is the great British actress from Doc Martin and Waiting for God. Her name escapes me.

That is some strange music.
This is a copyright so we have to cop it, if we wish to avoid paying.
Too many ads.
then pay for it
You've failed the ad blocker IQ test.

I don't want to listen to weird music in the middle of a book. Won't be back...
I know, what was the point of that silly song???
@@Sal_W. It's a break for copyright reasons. If you don't like it, then pay AudibIe for a clean copy.
