Just came back to re watch this again, it was just as much fun watching John and your reactions on Steve’s show as it was the first time 😊
Glenn Wheatley - manager and best friend of many years. Sadly passed away this year, 2022, from Covid.
"The ball bounces" refers to the start of an AFL game
Jennifer Anne Keyte is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Keyte currently presents the Melbourne and Adelaide editions of 10 News
Yes that’s Glenn Wheatley
Had a blast baby - I love you!
He's a Victorian so the ball bounce is probably AFL...or was it still VFL then.
It was still VFL in the vizard days
Farnsy and I support the same footy team 🤣
Welcome back Rick
@@davidburnett93 chain reaction came out late 1990. 1990 was the first year of the AFL after the VFL changed its name. Collingwood won the first AFL premiership in 1990.
It was AFL in 1990.
Love him. He’s very very funny
and that album went on to 7 x Platinum...
Jenifer Keyte is a news and weather presenter on the TV
Jennifer Kite was a short term TV face
Not so short term she still reads the news now in 2022
I think you’ve seen him sing “Burn for You” and he forgets to sing the words : Burn for you”.
Love him.❤
This was his 3rd album since leaving LRB. Whispering Jack, Age of Reason & Chain Reaction
Jennifer Keyte was is a journalist and news reader on one of the tv channels in Australia.
Steve Vizard is a successful aussie comedian.
I think you both now why Australia loves John so much.
what a fabulous interview!
interesting, entertaining, funny, audience participation and great interviewer, questioned / led without interrupting or overpowering. SO GOOD😘
Glad you enjoyed it!
Every home in Australia has that album! 🇦🇺
Jennifer was a news presenter.
The bounce was referring to AFL ( footy) The game starts with a centre bounce
AFL not ruby
This is late night TV so a bit more risqué than daytime TV…
G’day Ange and Rollen, these are the songs John sang on the show that were cut from the interview clip shown. This is the one he mucked up ua-cam.com/video/awdFDHD-FWg/v-deo.html and this is See The Banners Fall where he had the idiot sheets ua-cam.com/video/73GCqro7DhE/v-deo.html. (I love this song!)
This is the ball being bounced to start a game of AFL, start times vary from the afternoon to night time. ua-cam.com/video/Fma-bt82txY/v-deo.html.
Not Rugby..ugh. It Australian Football League.
Angie I've given Rollen the links to two other interviews that show a different side of John especially the one with How John found his voice in the title
Yes, they are on the list. Coming Soon.
I just realised that Steve Vizard disappeared when Will Farrell appeared. Just sayin.
Wow - that interview took a left turn! "Great balls of fire!" ( That surgeon must have been thrilled to have been outed on National TV for having Zero sense of humour. Although, to be fair, he'd probably been subjected to a hell of a lot of nervous jokers! )
Yeah - some of that audience reaction was a little to obviously set up with the targeted question and then the 'cue card'. That was a bit of a 'signature' of Vizard- the degree to which he had everything scripted. It came at the expense of someone like John who's natural spontaneity adds so much.
Chain Reaction was another album that really showcased Johns talent as a skilled songwriter as well as a brilliant vocalist. A nice glimpse here too of Glenn Wheatley, Johns long term manager and very close family friend, who sadly passed earlier this year due to complications of Covid. Take care all.
😂😂😂snip! Snip! Snip!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ll find the clip for you Angie… that lady was Jennifer Kyte is/was a well known news reader across our channels 7,9.10. I’ll find a good quality clip of See The Banners Falls and send it to you, Angie. Thank you both for doing this one. See how cheeky John can get! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
John is very cheeky Jen! 😂😂
@@reactiontalk yes, he is! It gets worse 😂😂😂
BTW Have you guys found The Comedy Company yet? See 'Married Couple' episode. I think you'll enjoy. 😆👍
I'll check it out!
omg they were hilaious! Con.. Con.. hahaha!
This was an awesome interview. Steve was a very popular interviewer back in the day and of course John always comes across like a cheeky bugger in any interview he does.
It's his 73 birthday coming up on the 1st of July so would be great if you could do a reaction for his birthday. He does a great rendition of Birthday. It's only Audio but he sounds great

Vizard was a great show, but it became clear once a competing network started screening Letterman that Steve Vizard had completely ripped off everything about Letterman's show. Right down to citing Dave's physical mannerisms.
It didn't last long after that.
So sad, it's gone Carolyn! I'm trying to find another version.
nice one!..
id love to see yas react to "Kids Cover 46 and 2 by Tool / O'Keefe Music Foundation" and "24 Kids Cover "Cry Little Sister" from The Lost Boys / O'Keefe Music Foundation"
john sold out every concert tour for over 30 years and would do so tomorrow if he wished
Gosh I remember when that came out.
The lady at the end is Jennifer Keyte a news presenter in the news segment for the show.
Very professional and attractive lady had a crush on her for years, had a great sense of humor as well which fitted in nicely with this TV show.
