      Thanks Rick, Platform escapements in these are made from pocket watch sized parts, very small..

      This one I was told sat for many years in an unused cubby hole on a boat, must be where it took in so much moisture.

    That's an interesting design. What purpose was the 24 hours for? I'm not aquainted with it.

      Like you I haven't bothered to Google it but I'm pretty sure the military use 24 hour clocks to avoid confusion between a.m and p.m
