Also, note that love-triangles are a-ok when it's a woman and two men, and it's always "Oh poor girl how can she possibly choose between them" and this will go on-and-on and rarely be resolved because women like the constant angst. On the other hand when it's a man and two women suddenly it's "why doesn't he make up his mind and stop leading them on?".

Even the police, who will often refuse to charge the woman and then tell the guy to "man up", and then even if it DOES get to a jury, the chances that a jury will convict a woman of assault is extremely low unless the guy has a ton of bruises and looks "defeated" by the woman (basically you have to look like the woman battered you beyond recognition). Like you gotta have teeth missing basically, or some sort of sob photos (and even then the woman who did it needs to look butch or "tough" or the jury may not "buy" that she did it beyond reasonable doubt).
But hey, we supposedly are an "equal" society and yet only men have to register for the selective service. So our society has agreed to hypocrisy even in our legal codes.

Noticed that too. So crazy a woman can physically attack a man, throw things at him, verbally disrespect him, emotionally manipulate him… but she’s somehow still the victim and nothing happens to her. Yet a man has to just stand there and take it. If he does even a small percentage of what she did she can use it as a victim fuel to ruin his name or send him to jail. What a joke

She neglected to add "they're fighting for the ability to get the benefit of the wealth of the secure guy that she married via divorce settlements, whilst also getting the excitement of the affair by running off with a new man."
There is something about the whole thing that reminds me of a spoiled girl whose father never disciplined her and said "you can't have everything you want, because other people need consideration as well". That's feminism - the girl who never said sorry.

The thing that makes the Notebook even worse is that he was in the war, half his friends died there and he came back home. He then loses his father and proceeds to build the dream house for wife he doesn't have. The guy is a fully self sacrificing for the betterment of others and sense of duty type of man, he's exactly the type that women hope they snag to settle down AFTER they've lived in up in their 20s. Not to mention a lot of women consider him gorgeous and he even has a few on the go to help stave off loneliness.
She shows up at his house while engaged to another man and stays for dinner, then have a "fight" in the rain and proceed to bang. In the end the fiance breaks things off with her and she gets to hop into a full furnished life with the hot guy she always loved and then gets to have a family and he sticks with her until the end of their life.
The whole film is demented pipedream where she is required to take no accountability and get's rewarded for all of her choices.

The Notebook reminds me of 2 ends of my marriage. Early in the marriage we separated briefly, during which she had some sexual fun with a guy she worked with. When forced to make a decision between the two of us, she said “Well, you have more potential than him.” $$$$$ Then about 33 years later she was bored, started an affair with another guy (at church), and divorced me and took $310,000 of my money on the way out the door. So they will settle for the beta male for awhile. But once they get bored, they bail. 😡

The difference is, that any kind of man who is ever worth his salt, knows once you settle for the one to be a part of your family, then that’s it. You have a duty, responsibility.

Getting rid of the patriarchy is magical thinking. This explains the link between feminism and marxism. Marxism is faith that we can live as total equals with no need for government. It's anarchic utopia. The idea of no patriarchy, freedom to follow your emotions on a whim, is enticing, but totally unsustainable.

And why don’t they realize it can never work because we have to lose our self respect to accept their behavior which then she will lose respect for us. A girl pulled this on me my freshman year of college and I ultimately had to walk away cause I would not be treated so poorly. She was my first real love and It took years to get over her but I sure had a heck of a great time doing it.
