I also appreciate that your questions Issac we focused on helping flush out what makes Dean policy different from others running. I also appreciate Dean Phillips focus on bipartisanship. I don't think either party has a monopoly on good ideas, human life is to complex for single sided policies and ideas
Good interview, in my humble opinion. Good questions that the candidate seemed to answer, providing some insight into what kind of candidate/potential President he would be. Like him or don't like him or his reasons for running, this interview provided some good insight into who he is. Thank you for providing this.
Wow! My first reaction (before I watched this) was that I agreed both with "What the right are saying" AND with "What the left are saying" - from the Tangle newsletter. Maybe that's evidence that he's a unifier? :-) Having watched the interview, I'm intrigued and maybe even impressed. Phillips doesn't currently have great name recognition, which I think is his greatest weakness. On the other hand, he is aware of that weakness. Plus, he's (relatively) young. He's articulate, energetic, compassionate, and (from what I can tell) just plain reasonable.
Ok Marianne! You rocked it this was the best interview. Very good questions and of course amazing answers wishing you and this new beginning. Many blessings.
I'm 88 so Biden's age isn't the bugaboo it is to so many--BUT--the elephant in MY room is Kamala Harris. I do not think she is presidential material. If Biden had a capable backup, he'd be my man. As it stands, this guy looks and sounds really good.
I can't imaging there'll be many voting for Trump who didn't vote for him before whereas there must be significant numbers who voted Trump before but won't again. As for Biden I think those switching to him vs from him will probably be similar. Therefore surely Trump cannot beat Biden.
I did have a positive feeling about Mr. Philips but boy when he said, "President Biden has done a spectacular job as President" that was shocking and he lost me. Was he sober when he said that? How could he possibly use the word spectacular to describe the performance as President, of Joe Biden?! It would be better to say that he (Phillips) is a Democrat who supports the tenets of his party but believes he can do a far superior job as President than is currently being done, and then elaborate on what he would do differently than Biden. Spectacular?? I'm still laughing.
Optimistically, unemployment, infrastructure investments, strong climate actions and healthcare reforms, bipartisan agreements on key issues like budget, government operation, fiscal discussions, and data privacy laws. Additionally, antitrust actions, competition promotion efforts to combat inflation both domestically and globally. Depending on the metrics you use and how optimistic you are, you could easily argue he's doing a spectacular job. Strategically though, it makes sense for Rep. Dean to have an amiable and respectful attitude toward Biden and lean into offering himself as an alternative considering how unhappy people are with Biden, especially concerning his age. His positivity and demeanor are congruent with his statements about the President.
What a breath of fresh air. I absolutely dont want to be stuck with a Trump/Biden opition. Dean has insight and has offered workable solutions. No name calling, not blaming, not apparent history of skeltons in his closets I've always voted R however if it's Trump Biden Dean, it's Dean hands down for me.

I really enjoyed his positivity and his honesty about being so sick of the infighting and lack of working together to help move our country forward.

Thanks so much for this interview. Really makes me want to have a winnable and more moderate alternative.
As a Minnesotan, I find this very exciting! We definitely need more competition and more choices

Love the podcast and enjoying the UA-cam channel. Thanks for your great work.
I would vote for him

Why are all the pronouns used in these comments regarding Marianne he and him?
Wow… refreshing
This guy is pretty likable!
I wish he had more than an extreme long shot of winning a primary…
Let’s wait and see. Obama was an unknown.
So glad Isaac asked that single, most important question! Oklahoma is about to become the new home of U.S. politics, baby! 🌪️🇺🇸🎶
I Like ‘em!
Interesting interview!
I love his energy!
Agreed
I note Phillips doesn't elaborate on specific policies. That’s troubling.

I enjoyed this interview. Seems like a likeable person able to be bipartisan.
And Biden’s failing physical and mental abilities?
