I like some of the features on this press, but so far what I have seen there are more cons than pros with it, the biggest thing is reaching around the bar to place the bullet,
I have a problem with my case feeder and primer springs kinking up and folding. Can you give me any solutions for this or what the problem might be. It would be appreciated.
I wish I could help, but I am still new to the Lee 6 Pack and have not experienced those issues. I hope you figure it out, and please let me know what you find out. Welcome to me channel. Highboy
I have heard that using the inside of a ballpoint pen will keep the springs from kinking. I don't own one of these, but have been watching videos trying to figure out if this press is going to be able to crank out loads of good ammo, without the problems associated with earlier Lee progressives.
@@danya822 thanks for the tip. Iv,e been using weed eater string to stiffen it up and it seemed to help a little. This sounds like it will work better. This press for me seems like has some quirks that need to be worked out. Again thanks and have a blessed day.
@@richardbrown5135 of course! How long have you had this press? I know Lee has updated quite a few things on it since the first ones came out, any chance yours has some of the older components that maybe don't work as well? I don't know all what has changed, but I recall a majority having to do with priming, and perhaps the shell plate carrier.
@@danya822 I've had it about three months. Got it from Midsouth in a 357kit .It's always had a issue with the springs. I lubricated it like lee recaminded but always had an issue. It works alright but it causes an issue with feeding. I contacted lee for the upgrade kit but the girl talked to didn't seem to know what I was talking about. They did send me a primer spring, some primer feeder arms, a primer rod, and case retainers. Still didn't help till I tried the weed eater line. I think you're ideal with the ink pin feeler will work better. It's a little aggravating to spend money on something and then not have it work the way it supposed to. Anyway, thanks for letting me bend your ear.
Lee makes a bullet feeder - you will not have to reach around - it is tube fed.
I added the RCBS Bullet feeder and RCBS powder check die to my 6000 all I do now is just pull the handle and keep a eye on everything.
Nice. Highboy
I couldn't get the RCBS feeder to work. The instructions are terrible, to be honest.

I thought that was going to be an issue at first, but now it's just natural. Highboy
