@@PittsburghBirdPhotographer Oops my bad 🤓 Usually female birds are so less colorful, I assumed it was a male 🤪 Lesson learned! And I just looked it up and she's only missing the little red line behind the beak...so pleased to see a female bird almost as colorful as the male 🤩 Yes I'm very envious of you..We only see and hear the Pileated from afar, binoculars help though. We just love their call too, so vibrant! Also I looked you up and I'm now your follower on Flickr as your photos are stunningly beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to reply 🤗
