This incident is of 24 November. Today is 7 dec. Don't know why this channel posted so late. The Embassy itself has taken disciplinary action against him. That says a lot. Also, this was someone's Father's last rites, we must consider this. This becomes sensitive situation. No matter how we see it, or through whichever angle, the Embassy personnel broke civility.

What ever may be the reason if she complained to the police, he would be locked. It is not India under modi, it is NY. Proper investigation would bring every thing. He is not an indian guy working in the govt.office. He is an imp.person in issuing visa for indians. He needs to calm down and talk to her responsibly and give right reason why he does not want to issue visa.

This is unbelievable! The woman and her husband are being polite even in their abuses because they are filming the event. I can certainly say there must have been some reason for the officer to get so mad at them. This couple just got a good civil servant in the gutters because they were smart enough to record this and put the blame on him - COMPLETELY. Moreover I don't know who allowed them to film this inside office. This is absolutely ridiculous! I stand with the Civil servant and hope he gets justice soon.

Those people still live in their basements and clearly are 16 year olds who haven't dealt with govt officers.

Yes...absolutely there might be a reason that could justify this behavior...because he simply went away , not misbehaving with that couple...so we should listen to the both sides of story and then come to conclusions. Officers are also human beings only , they can also get angry if provoked beyond limit.

They can apply, but the consular does not HAVE to issue a visa.. Maybe a C note in the passport would have expedited matters.

    This is kinda biased video
I don't get it why that government official would shout without any reason
Speculating things would be unfair, may be the official is right and the male was shouting first who knows

Most of the Indian embassies I have been are either rude or lethargic to offer their services. I must say irrespective of your citizenship (equal treatment for all ) Tbh, the other countries respond quickly and aptly compared to Indian embassies. I have wasted time (months) and money to get the work done with the Indian embassies. Anddd usually theend results are usually messed up work in terms of name, date of birth anddd even gender 🤦‍♀️.

I remember the exact same thing happening when I applied for a travel visa to India in NYC , a young woman’s father had died 3 days before and they were given her a hassle about it till she was crying. Many years later I told this story to my then fiancée who was Indian and she said consulate/ embassy officials are nasty as hell to their own country people and nicer to non Indians
