I knew this is based on a real case! I kinda remember the details from a podcast... If I remember it right, the dad blamed it on the alcohol or something. He said she was drinking, slipped on the bathtub and hit her head... the dad acted like was distraught and kept on crying but it was proven that he didn't apply cpr on his wife like what he was told to do by the 911 operator. Or maybe I'm just confusing it with other cases. 😅
@@Winterdreamed The daughter was with her right after the plastic surgery but wasn't suspicious of the Dad and was going back to college. Before she left for school, there was one day her Mom seemed kind of serious and said it to her daughter
Unless the nanny was using a burner phone that they disposed of once the wife died, if the nanny/mistress kept the same phone number afterwards, you'd think the police could track his phone calls all along to get at his already possibly having an affair with her and that was motive enough for him wanting to get rid of the wife? And even if she did get rid of that previous phone number, the police could possibly tie it back to her looking at its phone records? Is that really not enough evidence to question his motives by the police besides needing the daughter to request and question the toxicology report?

It is! I have watched the original case in some true crime documentaries here in youtube. In real life, the husband has an affair with a younger woman who disguise as the children's nanny.
They turned this into the daugher vs the father movie and battle of wits. But in reality the police just found incriminating evidence that he posioned his wife after another toxicology report. I gues reality is not movie worthy...
Omg the girl from Buffy plays the mom I forget her character name but her real name is Charisma carpenter well prob a stage name! I read about this when it happened I dk it was turned into a movie I wonder if they’ll make one with this new Dr that intentionally killed his wife during surgery she was administering her own anesthesia!! I’m a nurse so the medical stuff interests me!

Martin claiming to be a doctor and a lawyer was suspicious from the beginning 😅
Like I heard to play it again cause I was like how do you do that
There is a guy in the NFL who is a great player and a good doctor, so it's possible with a lot of work and discipline

Betty Broderick murdered her ex-husband (who had both a medical and law degrees) and his new wife.

In real life the Mom told her if something happened, to look into the Dad.

it is to motivate younger generation to revolt against family more audaciously.
Actually it was indeed the daughter who pressured the Police to investigate.
