Most comedy like this is done in troupe or group of comedians so they have someone to riff off. Normand and attell are the best at it, they do their sets all while crows working too but then have a q&a at the end for 15 minutes

I haven’t watched enough actual standup of Matt but I’ve watched the pod for like 4 years and he’s so comfortable bringing up random shit like this. But during his standup there’s no telling who is in the crowd so he is more careful with what he says. Which is the most understandable reason for being a little more censored on stage I’ve ever heard. Just and honest way to do it.
