Rest well with the Ancestors Uncle Willie K. I was privileged enough to watch you perform here on the mainland back in the 90's. Absolutely amazing. Aloha and Mahalo 🤙🏽
It's raining cats and dogs in Hawai'i nei this Monday, December 6, 2021 and I can't wait to see those walls of waterfalls before it gets dark. Love this version. Forever miss and grateful for your gifts to us all eternally Uncle Willie!!!!!
One of my employees is a cousin of willie k and he turned me on to his music. Now I cant stop listening to it! awesome. His songs are so positive, happy and have meaning. Listen to the radio and you will not find nothing like this. Thats why I love the 70s and 80s. 90s on music became very negative. Websters says music is a series of melodies and harmonys. A beat box and a one toned voice speaking is not music.. thats what our youth considers as music. a sad future! thanks for posting!
Just listened to the Jimi Hendrix rendition. It is a good example of the psychedelic period of music and for Hendrix fans is probably the quintessential version of this song. The Willie K rendition connects me more with the dreamy quality and romance of the story being told. The video draws me to the waterfalls I have visited and will visit. The video presentation is in harmony with swooping flight of the music. This one of my favorite Willie K musical productions.
I read the letter you wrote about my friend and Brother-in-law, Philip G Smith. He is a treasure to his family as well as the Island. I miss him and his music. Thank you and enjoy him often. Paul (Central California)
Couldn’t find lyrics so... “Waterfall tumbling right down the wall Waiting for you my love and me I can see a lovely paradise Built their within your eyes from my waterfall Dream on Dream of your fantasy A place just for you and me my love Spread your wings Spread your wings and fly away fly to that distant star from my waterfall Waterfall tumbling right down the wall Waiting for you my love and me I can see a lovely paradise Built their within your eyes from my waterfall”
I BELIEVE THIS FOOTAGE IS FROM A PBS SPECIAL ON HAWAII...AND THIS SPECIFIC FOOTAGE IS SHOWCASING THE ISLAND OF MOLOKAI...MIGHT BE WRONG ON THE ISLAND...
I wonder if you guys are aware that this song has been ripped off Jimi Hendrix. The lyrics and rhythm has been changed but still a rip off. At least he should acknowledge the original artist. Check out "May This Be Love" aka "Waterfall" by Jimi Hendrix and when you hear the guitar solo you will wish it would never end. The whole track is just over three minutes of pure beauty. Check it out please. Jimi is dead but his music lives on.
Seriously not da video dat gets me .......its dis bad ass hawaiian dat is singing dis song makes it everything he his da bad ass willie k him self ......
RIL Willie ❤❤❤ mahalo for all your amazing music and your strong spirit you bought to the world and the beautiful Hawaiian Islands !!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Willie K draws the context out a bit more than Jimi's version does.

Couldn’t find lyrics so...
“Waterfall tumbling right down the wall
Waiting for you my love
and me
I can see
a lovely paradise
Built their within your eyes
from my waterfall
Dream on
Dream of your fantasy
A place just for you and me
my love
Spread your wings
Spread your wings and fly away
fly to that distant star
from my waterfall
Waterfall tumbling right down the wall
Waiting for you my love
and me
I can see
a lovely paradise
Built their within your eyes
from my waterfall”
The melody sounds like Hendrix's Waterfall a whole lot!
