These scarves are pure art. Once you see the sharpness of the colors and designs no other silk scarf equates to Hermès. Maya, your video was fantastic!
Thank you Maya … wonderful history lesson … the Hermes carre is special … each time I wear one I smile and celebrate as I take it out of its box … artful beauties that I plan to pass down to my daughter ❤️
I love this! Very informative for people who are just starting on the Hermes journey, like me! I just ordered my first 2 Hermes scarves and this vid made me even more convinced of my brand choice. Can’t wait for my scarves to arrive! 😍
I would also add that if you decide to resell them for some reason and they are in good condition they retain their value well (and if the model is rare you may even make a profit). I routinely go through my scarves and sell the ones I don't use because I am not a collector, and had no problems sending them to new homes.
I started collecting Hermès scarves in 2006 and now own 30 cashmere and silk shawls and a dozen silk carrés. I buy 1-2 per year and mostly in duty free boutiques.
Great information here, Maya! There is nothing like the feeling of an Hermes scarf on one’s neck. I like Burberry, too, and enjoy the raincoats and jackets, but also the warmth of the cashmere scarves in their recognizable plaid.
I love the under the radar too, it gives me that luxe confidence, feeling stylish and pulled together without screaming the logo. I find the same with their jewelry, it’s classic and understated.
@@cranleyplace I also agree with you regarding value, certainly not inexpensive and definitely a luxury but I find I buy very classic basics. I find I can invest in quality pieces that last and then the scarves and other H items add the flare 🧡 it’s what I feel great in (no matter what size I might be) 😉 really happy I found your channel. Thank you.
Excellent video Maya! I totally agree that no other silk scarves can compare to Hermès. I also own a few vintage and contemporary silk scarves from Ferragamo, Gucci, etc., and I love them as well. I believe Audrey Hepburn was the Muse of Givenchy and we can see many photos of her wearing a Givenchy silk scarf. Grace Kelly also made famous the Flora scarf by Gucci which is one of my favourites. I prefer the Hermès silk scarves over the cashmere as I find the colors on silk more vibrant.
Really enjoy and appreciate the education about the Hermes scarf. Can’t find a single point to disagree with you. We buy and collect because of the artistic design and quality not because of the logo. One can never have enough of the Hermes scarf once you started with one 😀👍🙏
Thanks for your feedback, Yvette, and sorry to hear about the snag! It may be possible to repair, or at least minimize, with a lot of patience, a fine needle, and good eyesight (or magnifying glass). You have to try “coaxing” the thread back into place. I’ve only done this on a cashmere, but conceptually it’s the same technique for silk. Hope that helps and good luck!
Hi Maya, all their scarves are so very beautiful. Thanks for your info. It's very important to learn about their history and how these things are actually made. Your information make me appreciate even more their products. When I wear their scarves, perfume, or any small or big item I feel like a million bucks. 😅🤣😂
Would love to know who gave you that first scarf that started it all! I prefer the cashmere blend, and the quality difference between Hermes and the designer scarves I already own is striking … it’s a different league.

Maya, your video was fantastic!
I quite agree, they are exquisite. Thanks so much for your feedback! 🧡
@@cranleyplace Thank you for your response❤

Thank you, Denise, your daughter is one lucky girl! So special to share with her.

Thank you so much, Sean! Congrats on your new scarves and enjoy! 🧡

Quite true, Sara, thanks for your comments 🧡

Yes, buying duty free is a great way to build a collection. Thanks for sharing!
Love collecting Hermes scarves as well. Love watching your videos. ❤️
Always delighted to meet a fellow collector, Isabelle. So glad you’re enjoying the channel. 😘
Hi Maya, you have inspired me to start my own Hermes collection!
Oh, how exciting! Thanks for letting me know 🧡
Great information here, Maya! There is nothing like the feeling of an Hermes scarf on one’s neck. I like Burberry, too, and enjoy the raincoats and jackets, but also the warmth of the cashmere scarves in their recognizable plaid.
Too true, Pat! And those Burberry cashmere scarves are so wonderfully soft. 🤩
Excellent video and explanation about my beloved Hermes scarves! Thanks again Maya!
Thanks for your feedback, Edith! Delighted you’re enjoying the channel! 🧡
If you appreciate art and excellence in craftsmanship, then Hermes is where it's at. Love my scarves ❤
Too true, Yvonne, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Too true, Lisa, and perfectly phrased - classic and understated 🍊

Wonderful video as always Maya. Is it just me, or has this season been particularly wonderful? xoxo
Thanks so much, Jill. I agree, this season is exceptional. 🧡

Thanks for sharing!! Great point about Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy. That woman could wear anything and look fabulous. Style aspirations!
Thank you for your information and reason you chose to buy Hermès mainly. I was surprised at the price you bought your first one!
Glad it was helpful and thanks for sharing your thoughts, Chris!
Excellent, very shareable video! Thanks for providing this way to fend off those who might roll their eyes at those who collect these works of art.
Thanks so much, glad you find it helpful!
AWESOME information! 🖤👌😎
Thanks!

Love your videos! Any advice on how to fix a snag on a silk scarf?

Very interesting information.
Thank you, Hanh, glad you find it so!

Oh, it was a very generous gift from my older brother that I still wear to this day. Thanks for your comments, Heather!
Newbie here! ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to the channel, Lyn!
No one can touch the quality of Silk that Hermes uses. I buy them for the colours though.
Too true, thanks for your comments!
