Summer School Electronics slammed a Muff and a Trash Panda into one box and gave them a blend knob. Now you can create infinite dirty sounds by mixing dark and bright, cold and hot, silicon and led, crispy and crunchy AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN!

The Class Reunion combines Summer School Electronics’ take on a 90’s Russian Muff with our 2020’s Trash Panda in parallel with a master volume & blend knobs (SILVER). Each side features its own Drive and Tone knobs as well as Diode Selection toggle. (BLACK KNOBS = 90’S MUFF, GREEN KNOBS = TRASH PANDA) By tweaking the parameters, the user can open a world of tones which makes The Class Reunion a versatile drive,as well as a Riff-Writing-Machine. The silicon setting on the muff side (BLACK KNOBS) is a more standard classic muff sound, while the LED setting creates a darker sound with more low end. The LED setting on the Trash Panda side (GREEN KNOBS) is the classic amp-like overdrive from our Trash Panda, while the silicon setting is a lower output, but provides a crispier fizzier drive. By mixing these diode settings with the blend knob, the user can create so many sonic flavors!
I can't get enough of the Two Princetons gag. I'm a simple boy. I hear it, I like it, I'm happy.
15:30 Now he's cookin' the badger!
Would be cool if you could control the BLEND knob with an external _expression pedal_ .
would be cool if the blend nob was modulated...
🎵 "Everybody dance now!" 🎵
Sounds good! Liked the lead with delay sounds and the rhythm guitar sounds. Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult tones no problem
Something tells me that has to be an aftermarket wiggle-stick.
It’s just a simple out patient wiggle stick enlargement procedure.
Just don’t wiggle it for the first week after the plastic comes off.
Every time I hear the “Two Princetons” jingle it takes me back to college and seeing the Spin Doctors at a little dive club.😅 @60CycleHumcast, I build boutique electronics including effects and have been working on a fuzz circuit that I think you would find to your liking. I’m still fine tuning it for total usability with all of the quirks attainable for guitar, but the bass version is up to my standards, when I get a working small production model ready to send out I would love to send you one for testing and review.
15:20 - 15:25 : I love this tone. I might have to grab one of these for that alone. That would whup a moose’s ass with a belt coming from my G&L’s SD Jeff Beck HB.
Class act! The pedal sounds good too!
I thought the LED would sound better on the bass than that tbh. I've heard the Trash Panda before on another video. Great pedal. As is this!
18:56 🤠
Chiptune'd Space Lord by Monster Magnet for motherboard jingle? Spaceboard??
I love the artwork and I really want to like this pedal.... it's alright for what it is.
I had an OG EXH Russian Big Muff and I hated it at the time. I now have a Alchemy Audio modded NYC Big Muff and I love that one. This pedal would ideally be a NYC Big Muff and a Trash Panda for me and you can call it "Class of 96" and I would be over the moon. On my board I run a Ibanez Tubescreamer mini to goose my Big Muff and Rat and I love those sounds.😎👍✨
I really like that green maple Strat, bro.👍
Ryan can you please give a little rundown of the riffs you were doing in the beginnings, one of them has been an earwig and I can’t put my finger on it. Thanks.
Yea, that would work for bass.
Two princes!🥳 Time to get naked and get your surf on. Keep it bluesy lol. Awesome demo. Keep up the good work.
JHS interviewed the creator yesterday. The green knobs are a Trash Pandal pedal. You can change the clipping diodes from silicon diodes to LED (yes! light emitting diodes - there should be a pair of blinken lights inside the pedal! too bad we can’t see them). Pretty cool!
LED clipping was used in the Marshall Silver Jubilee, which was essentially Marshall's response to people running drive pedals into the JCM 800.
Melvins and early Nirvana
I liked both sides of the pedal, I’m not sure what I would use it for tho, but it’s really a nice pedal!
I have their "Science Fair" pedal, and it's fantastic. I may have to try this one out, too.
I'm guessing that it's just not for me... But if it's one side over the other, I like the muff. 👍👍
that is a killer pedal. i could hear a modern blues blend. blink 182. soundgarden. stp. mudhoney.
Looks like a great pedal - just wish they’d gone a bit further and included two foot switches so you could activate each effect independently whilst playing
On the JHS Pedal Show, the builder said that the Trash Panda is a 250.
Gus-Drive is a 250 topology. The Trash Panda is a heavily modded op-amp muff circuit. I’d describe it as a “less-Muffy Muff” more drive than fuzz.
What is Bryan’s take on this pedal?
90’s surf
But does it have cats?
I saw a cat one somewhere 🤔 - steve
Can I buy a shirt if I'm not naked?
First. Where’s my reverb?
Did he tell you that the white whale was yours too? I bet it’s that cursed dummy up to no good.
Mm not a pedal for me, there is some kind of slow vibrato effect in the muff/fuzz part going on which makes it unpleasant to hear for me. Off-course this is a personal taste …
Phase issues
Silicone diodes are more wobbly.
can someone help identify this guitar??
ua-cam.com/users/liveyrR44zjcqw0?si=usLFJhpahQ6PmcNL
definetly not my stream of me practicing and just want people to see me guitar nope
I think the Trash Panda side is going for a 250 DOD grit, maybe?
I dont like the green color of that Strat. Please dont use it anymore.
