I don’t know why but I never really realized how much of a cultural aspect there is to singing. This woman can clearly sing, has great technique etc. but probably didn’t grow up listening to a lot of blues, soul, Jazz, country, etc. so getting the feeling/intonation and overall vibe of the song, was a little harder. Well done tho! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

gosh, whatever it was, there were a handful of languages whizzing past..i'm thinking she's a polyglot..really wishing i'd keep up with all my own languages lessons. 🙁

Sometimes our life experiences are the only way to translate into the blues. Soul and blues must be the hardest genres to learn and also to sing. Some can mimic it but there’s always that pain they feel transmitted into voice which is rarely able to be duplicated in the same way. 🙌🏻. But wow her voice is powerful in its own way ❤️😊
