    Take care of Warranty terms. Envirovent will look at ways to avoid any warranty claims.

    I know this is two years old, but i have a solution to the mounting orientation
    I had to mount mine at 90 degrees due to cable not being long enough, so i used a little nail varnish remover on the branding and it came straight off.
    Now it looks correct in any orientation

    Hi - I know you posted this years ago but I’m hoping you might still see this! My fan has suddenly stopped working and is showing a red light in the top right corner, by the timer. Any idea what this could mean? I can’t find any info about it online

    Guaranteed no one can help me actually remove this thing. The little pin hole on the side to depress the cover. Then what? I've stuck everything I can in that hole and nothing happens...

      Issue is You have to put something in a gap between the wall and the cover and often it’s simply covered with gypsum and paint.

    Can I ask a question please? Is it possible to wire this fan up to a standard UK plug?
    I need an extractor fan in my garage, but the only electric source I have in there is a double plug socket on the wall (no lighting circuit in there)
    Great little fans by the way, we have the same one in our bathroom
    Good tip about the orientation of the unit, to ensure the writing is the right way up too, thank you !

    Thank you, that's a lot more quiet than my one. Mine is from 2013, is it worth updating? What year model was this? Also do I need to turn off electric to take off cover to adjust timer?

  • @josephjohnson1442

    Re: wall mounting. I think it might be smart to not mount the fan with the terminal and circuitry at the bottom. Mine stopped working and I found that the live-switch terminala and the timer circuitry at the same level had corroded. I suspect that water got in after a storm and then pooled there. If it had been mounted on the side it might have been ok.

    Hi appreciate the upload and taking your advice I had one installed last week. Had to take it down this morning from my internal upstairs bathroom because it tripped the mains fuse. Upon removing cover about a small glass worth of water just leaked out. I'm told it's because the flexible ducting is going vertically through the roof and when fan turns off condensation just makes its way back down.
    Trying to work a solution so any advice will be appreciated

    • @artisanelectrics
      @artisanelectrics  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah you need to install a condensation trap to stop that happening. You can get one here amzn.to/36wQeg6

    • @artisanelectrics

      If you turn the power off you can take the cover off and pull the central blade off and wash them in the sink. Just be careful to not get water in the fan motor etc.

  • @mhjhahlh

    With ceiling mounting Do you use flexible ducting and cable tie to the spigot on the back of the fan? Then route to the external wall and vent.
    Im about to give a manrose internal fit wall vent kit from Screwfix a go with one of these envirovent 100 silentT fans and planning flexible ducting.

    I had one installed, but is it normal to have air actually coming out of it? if I place my hand close to the sides, I can feel a lot of air coming out of it, if I place in the middle I can't feel much. I thought these here supposed to only extract air.

    • @NISARQC
      @NISARQC 3 роки тому

      These should have draught shields or they may have jammed and therefore allowing cold air to come through.

    • @artisanelectrics

      Usually it feels like air is coming back but actually if you put a piece of toilet paper over it you will see it is sucking air out

      @@artisanelectrics Thanks...What do you do if a fan does not allow the normal solid core twin and earth wire? Because the fan I bought says on the instructions
      "The connection into the fan MUST be a flexible
      cable and NOT solid core twin and earth, if the fan is mishandled or a solid core twin and earth cable is forced into the terminals you WILL break it"
      What is the flexible cable I need for my fan?
      And do I wire it the same way as I would other normal fans? Because I read somewhere that I could use a terminal block to connect a solid core twin and earth cable to any other cable.

    • @Tokaisho1
      @Tokaisho1 5 років тому

      @@Khaled91 You could run your solid core to a switch or fused box where it comes out of the wall then run flexible cable with strain relief from that to your fan (like wall mounted heaters)
