- Mercedes seems to have identified the perfect operating window for the W15, and during the upcoming Grand Prix in Austria they are likely to showcase a much better performance than last year. The team has mapped a top-secret detail for the upcoming races and latest statements from the likes of Hamilton and Shovlin indicate that we will have two very competitive W15's. But with Austria hosting the Sprint format once more, can Mercedes bear fruits of incremental developments and take the fight to Red Bull and McLaren?

Evidently not. They have brought a beam wing alongside, and only chose to run that. Maybe they feel the sprint format only has 1 practice session, setup cannot be optimized.

Shouldn't think so, the move wasn't simply based on car performance... he knew that he was now just being used as a bridge until antonelli was ready to start and got refused the ambassador role even after all he had achieved with the mercedes team and mclaren mercedes. He did not deserve that snub, plus he would of been left high and dry after his contract finished with mercedes and would at best had to join a middle field team. The ferrari move gives him the highest chance for his possible last title shot. However ferrari need to get their shit together, it's not enough just to have a race winning car if you cant back it up with on point strategies and pit stops ect. Time will tell
The move had financial motives on both the sides. Hamilton got free half a billion and Ferrari gonna a lot of bank with teamLH.
@@Phill-oso-pher Lewis simply left because he knew he was gonna be replaced by Antonelli in 2026, Albon is staying with Williams due to a good engine in 2026 u don't think that Lewis knows this, so we can safely assume that he left just for that and not performance
