"Stop! Someone's on the track! Stop the train!" All that knowledge of engineering, yet Hank doesn't know that a freight train takes two miles of track to come to a complete stop...
I know, right? They should've drawn a GP40 locomotive pulling the freight train.
He was in panic and denial the whole episode. His good sense went out the window with his ailing Ranger.
N&W productions
I believe it was possibly an F45 locomotive for I’m not mistaken they had 6 axels
At least in King of the Hill, there is a sense of realism when the train crashes into Hank's Truck. In television and the movies, the vehicle on the tracks ALWAYS explodes when a train hits it.
it can cause a small explosion if the metal scraping together makes enough sparks and the gas tank is punctured i've seen it happen before its not like action movie explosion more like tiny fire ball out of no where explosion
I love Hank's line "Stop making train noises; it's not funny!"
@@Mrcharles. (the railroad crossing signals clanging interrupt him)
"Bobby! Get away from the tracks, now!"
@@BenjaminGoodman (Try’s to start the truck before the train comes but fails)
Aw, that hurts to watch. I love the early Rangers. My dad had an '87 when I was real young.
My dad might find me a 86 ranger for Christmas this year so I can name it Bobby
I was taught (in a safety driving course) that if your vehicle is caught on the track and impact is inevitable, evacuate passengers the direction the train is coming from because debris is about to fly down track!
I grew up near train tracks and they always told us that the train will not stop of you're dicking around on the tracks. It both can't and won't.
Fix it again Tony

Honestly, Hank should've just set the truck in neutral and pushed it off the tracks, THEN fuss with it.
SuperNormalMan he tried, but the truck was to solidly manufactured.
xXxGnuVirusxXx it was just a Ranger. How "solidly manufactured" could it really be? Lol

That kid is a bitter dissapointment. The product of a narrow ureter that left the best parts of him behind.

BOT_ Robert try looking at ae86 engine blows up on initial d its was hank fault anyway he knew it time for a new truck.
@@saberiandream316 You're right, but certain internet people say it's an anime for 'funny meme' humor. Sad I know.
I wonder how the shittiest, most unfunny jokes always become popular.
I love Mike's attention to detail with the cars especially. Like how Hank wiggles the shifter to make sure its in neutral before cranking it.
Hank Hill you have caused confusion and delay
It’s not about the truck, it’s about the memories with it

I love how over exaggerated Bobby's fall was like when I was a kid.
Hank said someone’s on the tracks but he was off to the side. He viewed that truck as his own. This is the real America we deserve where trucks and men can be treated equally.
Hank broke all the traffic rules. He was supposed to leave the truck and run to the train to stop it in the first place.
Even if the engineer saw Hank from a distance it still would take a mile for the train to stop.
Alex the Hun welp all the time he spent trying to fix it he had a better chance running towards the engineer telling him to stop
FINISH HIM!
TRAIN WINS!
FATALITY!
It’s kinda weird that every time we see the train it’s moving quickly, then we look away, and look back at it, and it’s at the spot where it began.
This is a quirk and flaw of all movies and TV, it was best explained to me that when Thanos snaps his fingers in Infinity War, the idea was that all the dustings should have happened simultaneously, however in a movie you absolutely must show them happening sequentially. I apply that logic to anything where multiple reactions are needed to move things along, if something like this happens I can assume the flow of time in the media is not 1:1 to real time and is instead showing what's going on at the same moment from different angles
You cut out the best line: sounded more trucky considering how much train there was 😅😅😅😅
Then Hank becomes an asshole and inexplicably blames his son for his truck getting destroyed.
@@MovieLover1995 To be fair, that truck was his long before Bobby was born, and he was already annoyed about having to drive to Pickup Truck Heaven. He started crying on several occasions about his truck, which shows how attached he was to it. He didn’t mean any of what he said and apologized later in the episode.
@@MovieLover1995 it was just hank dealing with grief. He clearly didn't meant it
Looks like Ward got his revenge.
Anyway Hank couldn't get out anyway with the track lever bars blocking the front and the back.
He actually could get out. The crossing gates are fairly easy to break if he did get his truck moving. They make them that way for any situation like this.
They’re fibreglass or wood, and hinged on strong springs, you can go through them
Amazing how Hank Hill has the super human ability to compress his beer gut underneath where the engine and transmission are. Especially under what I assume was a rear-wheel drive Ford Ranger.
Poor ranger :( 😭😔😖😩
I wish I can find a 86 ranger (just regular cab & short bed but with a 5-spd manual transmission, yea I know hanks ranger has a extended cab) & turn that ranger into hanks old ranger
@Layla Forrest Rangers aren't terrible....
If I want another one then I'm getting another one
Things Hank loves the most, in order:
1. His truck.
2. His lawn.
3. His lawn mower.
4. Alamo beer.
5. Propane.
6. Lady Bird.
7. Tom Landry.
8. Beef.
9. Peggy
10. Bobby.
...
125. His dad.
I’ve always wondered why a smart man like hank wouldn’t have just pulled out the wires to the clutch safety switch and just use the starter motor to move the truck in gear. yes it can be done, the starter has enough power to move it in first or reverse to get up and over the dip in between the tracks that they couldn’t push it over. I’ve actually had to do it to a ranger before, not oof the tracks, just up a couple plastic ramps to work on it.
I like the little things.. Hank prioritizes Bobby, but sees he’s OK. Then later refers to his truck as a person, heh
Hank: Stop making train noises it's not funny.
R.I.P. for the Ranger. In the words of Rick May,you did good, son
*F.I.A.H*
*Dammit mah truck*
*FIX IT AGAIN HANK* 😨
You'd think Hank would've at least been smart enough to not shut the door when he got in so if he did have to bail, he could do so quicker.
Ok, I felt Hank's Pain right here.
Never gets old seeing Bobby rolling down the steep hill. 😂
Hank really loves that truck
Hank just witnessed his darkest hour yet.
I remember this! Definitely quite the heart quencher!
Coming back, I'm surprised how accurate the sounds are... just the one quick metallic crunch (aside from the truck rolling afterward) and then the train screeching to a stop... leaving nothing but eerie silence. Pretty much exactly how a real car/train collision sounds.
😢😢😢I feel so bad for Hank. Well, at least he got a new truck….
Damn I miss this show so much!
I like how Bobby just casually rolls into a bush.
0:43 i swear to God I want a gif of that.
What he should have done was have bobby turn the wheel to the right, then have the both of them push it so that the truck would go into the grass to come to a complete stop.
There was water, in the exhaust
If you're ever in this situation, there are usually phones on the side you can use that will directly route you to dispatch or a station and you can say you're stuck/stranded on the tracks.
They will often switch, reroute, warn, and may even call you a tow.
My buddies 86 for F150 ran out of gas like 100 feet from a gas station and he used the starter to drive it the rest of the way to the pumps. I wonder if it would work in a Ranger, too.
Hank is a pretty smart guy but he can't figure out that it takes a really long distance for a train to stop.
If you can see the train… it’s too late.
The Death of Hank's Truck.
That truck stopped perfectly centered on that steep hill.
Never knew why hank never rebuilt the engine and transmission, he seem like a guy that can pull it off
Rocky Dang ya water in the exhaust. The damn thing had a blown head gasket. Easy fix for a ranger. Worst case buy a used motor with low miles. But I guess we can’t make it easy with real world situations or else the show wouldn’t exist 😂
@@JoshuaDomoslai it might be worse than a gasket actually. A blown head gasket would be an easy fix if you got the time and equipment. The water in the exhaust might be simply the tip of the iceberg as it were, given that even a good mechanic went 'she's dying son'...
Because for all his claims, and the show trying to tell us the same, Hank is an incompetent fool.
That, or with his weird obsession with buying only American, he refuses to buy anything if he can't get a solid guarentee that every part he uses is American. Absolutely no foreign stuff. I mean this is a guy who looks for TV parts at rummage sales instead of buying a foreign TV.
so thats what it sounds like when a train hits a truck...

Hank: Stop making Train Noises it's not Funny
Poor Hank, that truck was one of his all time treasures. Plus, when I get a pickup, I sure would hate to see it get crush by a train.
I find it weird an episode or two after his old Ford Ranger was destroyed and after getting the newer F150 you still see him driving his old Ford Ranger. This always bugged the crap out of me.
For as smart as Hank was he should've called dispatch immediately
It must be scary when you’re in that situation.

Unfortunately that's what you're supposed to do. A train can do to a car, what a car can do to a soda can. Your vehicle will be replaced
Love that he still prioritizes bobby first
The truck was begging to go at this point. It's sad but we all know it
@450015508 She was just too solidly manufactured.
ne77s scrolled through the entire comment section just to see if someone mentioned this lol
@sunwolf6 No, it's a really loud bang. I watched a dump truck get hit by a train once.
Trucks can be replaced the important thing is no one got hurt in this
Put the thing in reverse then with the hood open jump the starter solenoid to turn the engine over and being in reverse it will go backwards off the tracks.
R.I.P. Hank's truck.
Press F to pay respects.
He should've bought a chevy Silverado cuh
Holy crap that train stopped quick
Bobbeh rolled down the hill, dang it bobbeh
It's good thing Hank got out of the truck when he did, because i doubt he realizes that his life is more important than a stupid truck, besides a vehicle is replaceable but a human life is not.
If you watched the episode, you'd know that truck meant a lot to him (and Bobby), dude. There are just some things you can't just replace so easily. And even though he was very stubborn and even dickish about his truck, I do get why he did what he did.
@@dnmstarsi Well i doubt Hank's insurance covered the damage done to his truck, because i'm pretty sure vehicle insurance won't cover train related incidents.

I feel your pain hank
Hank, with his little girly arms, diminished gluts, and narrow urethra, just couldn't push the truck. Cotton was right...
Time for some flex tape
For all the people in the comments asking why Hank didn’t push the truck off of the tracks, literally seconds before this scene, he tried and came to the conclusion that he could not push it because “she’s too solidly manufactured”
Or because he wouldn't have been able to push it hard enough to get it over the rails of the track.
Sounds like Cotton was right about Hank being a sissy if he couldn't push a Ranger down an incline with the help of his teenage son.
He should have taken the parking brake off.
