Happy fire it up Friday. I love using fire pistons. I’ve only tried with char cloth but it’s always worked for me. Hope you have a great weekend and stay safe. 👍👍

I have a metal fire piston. Never could get it to work. Nitrated tinder might work. Thank you for sharing this with us, Jason. Stay safe and stay cool

happy fire it up Friday Jason, I found the fire piston too frustrating to use and stopped using mine, too inconsistent. One minute they are working fine, the next for no reason they stop.

    Thanks Jason!
Btw - I saw a video of a guy carbonizing cloth (cotton?) in a tin can over open fire (can was closed with a hole in the top - a candy container). He used the results as a firestarter. Have you tried it?
Kind regards from Germany and a nice WE y’all! 🙏🫶
