@@dylanplumley280 i think that's only because the game isn't fully finished and maybe it never will be because it's been out for 2 years. I don't understand what isn't finished though because to me it looks like everything is there. The stages, characters etc... maybe some characters endings aren't done or something. PC allows you to buy games that aren't done. They call it early access.
This game is the shit. I just bought it I love it. fighting styles & movements are amazing. And being a huge Kung Fu movie fan & Martial Artist. Brilliant job on creator of this game #NinJahKevSaidIt
not sure if this is easter egg or copyright issue :) or maybe those are real moves in those fightning styles, so they are naturally duplicated in different games? but some moves in SvcW are the same as in Virtua Fighter. for example Throw in mantis style is the same as in Virtua Fighter Lion character. Also ninjitsu 2 legs straight roll in the air is the same as for ninja character in VF. Possibly more same moves are present, I only tested few characters so far.
I know I'm gonna love this game. Just based of the little we see now, I know it's gonna be one of the greats. But, there are 2 elements I would love to see added 1. I would like if when you're in mid-combo me have won the round, you could continue and finish that combo 2. I think to give this game that authentic, classic martial arts film feel to it, the defeated players death and lost art each round MUST be over emphasized. Other than that, this looks sick. Can't wait for it to be released and thank you in advance to the developers.
There is a "dodge" button you press, which if you press it it's like a backflip to your character if they are not attack by the opponent. But your opponent IS attack you, you have to press the "dodge" button and TIME it right in order for your character to 'parry' the attacks. I'm still trying the game myself, so if I'm wrong then I'll admit it.
Game needs a few frames added to the movements. Movement looks way too choppy. Arm in front of face to arm fully outstretched with no movement frames in between. Great idea for a game though.
yes Eagle is based on Hwang Jang Lee's Sheng Kuan from Snake In The Eagle's Shadow,Five Elements is Mark Long's Ghost Face Killer from Mystery of Chessboxing,8 Diagram Fist is Carter Wong's Chief Chin from Born Invincible ,Monkey is Lau Kar-leung Master Chen from Mad Monkey Kung Fu, Wu Shu is Jet Lee's Wong Fei Hung /Fong sai yuk from Once Upon A Time in China/The Legend the character of Lotus is a hard one ..her character could be be based on a number of 70's famous Chinese actresses like Angela Mao however I will go with Kara Hui's Mei-Hsiao from Fist of The White Lotus.

This is what Mortal Kombat could've been! Shaolin vs Wutang is definitely underrated and such a unique fighting game
My main is 8 Diagram Fist. My favorite is definitely white brow.
Mine is Okinawan Karate (I think that's his name) followed by Muay Thai. I bought both games for 20 bucks on steam the other day and love em so far.

Is there a "block" in the game? A "counter" would be REALLY sweet. Especially in a kung-fu game. Hope the developer adds it in future.
