Beautiful design. Are the uprights 8/4 square?

Love this! Are the crosses 1"x6"? 5.5' or 6' long?

Beautiful project. Can you tell me what this type of joint is called?

Thanks Daniel. Its a Japanese joint. Not sure the real name but I call it a Naga Joint. Some refer to it as a bridal joint because it has a half lap joint but that’s not the correct name either. Here’s a video of how to cut the joinery. ua-cam.com/video/U7ZNc5lQnro/v-deo.html

Excellent work! I'm looking to make one of these this weekend. How did you make the cuts in the 4 posts?

The joinery is easiest to cut using the bandsaw. But It can also be cut on the table saw using a dado set and a good tenon jig.
