Cheers for the shout out, Bruce. You’re right, our summer’s turning out to be a soggy shower of sh*t, but in our defence the spring was spectacularly good. Great to see the Ron coming back on form, more power to his elbow!😂 Cheers from the UK, R.
@@stevealbin8257 In my own case, where things with 4 whisks are concerned, it would be more strictly accurate to call it a relative bargain at £1.50 a crash.😂 It’s definitely not the weather to bung a flying toy off a cliff right now, which is my preferred variety of silliness. I still don’t get why I’m going to be a criminal for doing so but a criminal I shall be. Sod ‘em, they can go and whistle for all I care.
Thanks Bruce, nice to see all of you having fun. Really good to see Ron back up to his smiling face and quick thoughts that make us smile. Thanks for sharing your lives with me. Always appreciated here in the small Village of Prescott, Michigan USA
Hi Bruce, Ron, Neill and?, it's about time bill, that's how my autolaunch goes, I guess I'm doing something right. Just a little hot glue and the mustang will be back. Thanks again for a wonderful day at the Tokoroa RC Park
That was a lovely, relaxing, episo.... What? Go-Carts? It is cruel, the way this noise and disturbance was all forced on you guys at the airfield. Such is the life of a mortal, when those with money might as well be gods. Ron is always a welcome sight, and to hear him telling jokes is heartwarming. Thanks Xjet, from a chilly Welsh hill.
Finding those 'implanted' signs, was like finding an Easter egg on an a chocolate egg hunt. My favourite "CAUTION This sign has sharp edges" Fantastic Bruce. And great camera work even though the audio was affected by foul weather at times 😉

I have started using the Flex Innovations Aura 5 lite flight controller. It has a WONDERFUL FEATURE call "Launch Assist". Once set, launching a plane or wing (especially) makes the craft climb at a 30 degree up angle and keep climbing with wings level until you touch the controls. I sometimes do my "Jesus Launch". After launching the plane, I spread my arms wide while the plane climbs out until it is about 15-30m of altitude. It includes a "Safe", Intermediate, and Unlimited modes.
Less pommie jokes ya Ozzie bastards!! Lol😂 just a nice relaxed club, banter, camaraderie and young n not so young. That flyingwing looked just like a bin liner flapping in the wind. Lol
Awesome video, Bruce! Thanks!!! 😊 Well, hot glue solves everything... I just hope there's no shortage of it. Like, ever. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Be careful talking about 'tradecraft' with that 'self ejecting' battery idea. Somebody could steal the idea for their own monetary gain, and beat you to it. Thanks Bruce, gentlemen, for the joyful videos. 'Low flying aircraft' sign, indeed. 😊
Dear xjet producers, My name is Nathan Harbut, I am a soon to be a sophomore in High School in the United States. I have been very interested with the concept of Pulse Jet engines and their implications on aircraft, particularly on the V-1 Cruise Missile. As a semi-personal / semi-school project, I have been assigned to design and construct a scale model V-1 Cruise Missile with a working Pulse Jet engine made from scratch on the back. I feel that I am capable of this, but I am seeking some advice. Many of your older videos seem to deal a lot with Pulse Jets and RC planes which I feel may be useful for my purposes. I too plan to make the model and jet into a working RC model but am completely new to the hobby. Recently, I have begun 3D modeling the fuselage, wing, and tail of the V-1 and at the moment plan to use my online model to 3D print a multi-piece assembly of parts that can hopefully function as an RC plane. I am familiar with the basics of pulse jets and the basics of RC flight but when it comes to building something like this or mounting a jet engine on the back, I am a bit humbled to say the least. Because of your seemingly extensive knowledge on the subject, I was wondering if you would be able to help me to create my own RC model with a pulse jet engine to learn the basics of the craft so I can go on and perfect my own versions in the future. If you are at all interested, or have a few tips for me, it would be very appreciated. Thank you very much, Nathan H.
The NZ Ministry of Transport has made it clear that they intend to require Remote ID in the near future. Working against that is that the current government has been losing ministers (including ministers of transport) hand over fist. "Conflicts of interest", "drunk driving", "evading arrest"... the list seems endless. With this level of disruption, planned changes to our drone rules that were already supposed to have been in effect by now have been placed on the back-burner. Then, to top it all off, we have an election in a few months so that'll further slow down the passage of any changes. Ah... if there's one thing we can rely on it's the incompetence of our political overlords :-)
@@xjet Well good for you, at least you have some time......incompetence and corruption????? Now you are really talking about the USA...almost sorry to call my self an American....just pitiful and embarassing to the rest of the word!!!!! At least I still have my RC flying for now even after being regulated....Heck that may go too like the rest of the country!!!!!
Why that Unicode character? It took less than a week for it to replace the twitter icon and get toxic, it's fun to laugh about it, but here I wish it gets back to the previous or Times New Roman font "x", italics, bold and underlined variants seem also ok
Glad to see Arnold stop by to chum with Ron.
Im glad Ron is back and doing well
It must be nearly time for another ADSB alarm promise
well I left a comment on how to make one but it keeps dissapearing. Maybe youtube doesn't like me including a github link or thinks it's suspicious.

At this rate the UK drone registration fee will work out at £3 a flight.😅

Well at least you guys still have a place to fly. My area is 100 percent taken over by go-karts.
Loads of fun Bruce, keeps me amused on a cold winters arvo in Reefton. It's to cold to go flying here all the extremities would freeze.

Nice flying day. Btw, around 11:52 there is an F-word said in the background audio. I hope UA-cam doesn't demonetize the video for that.
It's hard to keep these boys under control sometimes. :-)
@@xjet Even with the help of 'Arnie'? ;-)

I was wondering what Arnie's up to these days. I see his controller looks like a tablet, is it made by Tesla? 🙂
