Thank you so much for this video. A mechanic refused to work on our 2021 blazer because he said it was too hard to change the temp sensor on it, and i wanted to find a video to see if he just didnt want to help us or if it really was hard. Your video helped a lot thanks again.
Is this video just to replace the thermostat or does it also include the temperature sensor? I am going to be trying to do this on Sunday. Your video is great! Thank you!
You welcome and thanks for watching, the video is just for the thermostat but to be honest i never have to replace temp sensor on your engine it is usually the thermostat
Get a cheap scanner that reads live data and then drive and monitor your coolant temeperaure and it should read between 160-190 degrees and if it fluctuates while driving then your sensor is working and doesn’t need to be replaced
Okay so I’m stuck at the part where you take out those injector lines at the thermostat. I am wiggling and tugging but they will not pop out at all. I’m nervous to clamp down too hard on the metal part with pliers in case of pinching or breaking. What can I do?
At that point i would just buy them in case they break in the head, happen to me before luckily they were readily available at the dealer, also spray wd40 before attempting removal
watched like 7 videos trying to determine if this is something I could handle, and every one other than this one made it seem way over my head. you definitely have the easiest approach here.
Yes, ,not way around it but it is not as bad as it look , as matter of fact, the manual want you to remove the fuel injector rail which require a special tool and time
@@steevegmtech7326 I just did this and you're right, it's not even that bad. The hardest part is removing that 10mm bolt that holds the pipe in place. Super easy if you tear up the foam but harder if you want to keep it intact.

Most likely the thermostat, very common issue on those

I am unable to get the pipe out of the thermostat. The pipe is loose and I can wiggle it but it wont budge from the t-stat.
The o ring is probably stuck in there, use a little of wd40 , it might help

The engine temperature meter isnt reading just stays on cold even after a drive
I bet you your cooling fan is always running, and your ac is not working, you must likely have a bad thermostat or temp sensor
