Combined with carbon emission or carbon footprints, these big companies would produce this pollution more than our lifetimes (combined or even multiplied many times). So a great takeaway as well should be use your VOTES and/or ELECT proper government officials that truly care about those things. Because unless something drastic change, our own contribution would be NOT enough on their own.

I think Vanilla is talking about the crops, not really the crops but the Seed Vault in Artic. This seed vault contains almost all or even every seed in this planet and it has been an issue with global warming because it is preserved using permafrost but now this ice is melting. When this ice melts, there is a chance these seeds would die out and not be viable for use. The purpose of the seed vault as far as I remember is in the cases of natural calamity (+man-made calamities like wars) like extreme drought, flood, parasites or whatever that may wipe out entire species of crops we have reserved for that and thus not killing the entire species of this plant.
