Slight correction: The display is an LCD unit, not AMOLED. However, colors and contrasts are still great as tested. Apologies for the confusion.
I'd be happy if other smartwatches also sported Led displays since that enhances battery life

Hi Lim! I know this is not about Amazfit Bip 5 but if you're gonna review about the newly launched Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition,can i know about the built in GPS they use in this SE version. I can't find this info on the Huawei Specification sheet or anywhere. Are the QZSS , BEIDOU , GALILEO , and GLONASS navigation system are also included ? Or it's purely just using GPS navigation system? Really grateful if you can help finding this answer. Thank you in advance

exactly it's like they are retarted, that's the main reason I avoid apple watch- battery life and cost

I can't see my earlier reply to you? Strange. Anyway, I basically said that an Apple watch can probably last two days. The Ultra definitely. It will be interesting to see what gets released on Sept 12th. I will probably buy my Wife an Apple Watch for her upcoming birtday. For me, I use a Garmin Instinct 2 Solar. It's battery life is amazing. It can last a month with ease. Mine currently has 41 days of battery life and if I work in the Sun, it keeps extending. @@bruvhellnah

Hi Lim, would you personally advice me Bip 5 Amazfit or Huawei watch gt runner?
My BIP 5 is locked all the time, I have to push the button to unlock. No longer turns on with a turn of the wrist. Many of the features shown in your video cannot be found on my watch nor on the app. What is wrong? I purchased it in Sept. 2023
The specs states "TFT touchscreen". Too bad still no MiP display. Sticking with my old Bip S.

I want to make an call
with the watch while having bluetooth headphones connected
to my phone. On samsung and garmin voice input/output would
automatically be on the connected headphones, but with Amazfit
it goes first to the watch and I can redirect it to the phone, but
it uses then microphone and speakers from the phone and
not from the headphones which ruins the whole experience,
because I would need to take my phone out of the pocket and
redirect once more to the headphones.
Am I just not seening something or is this the only way it works
with Amazfit?

It all comes down to the operating system. Watch os is a power intensive os.

Not worth the review. Its only a minor cpu upgrade. Other than that its literally the same as the pad 5

And yes its worth it.. there's a flaw here and there but its no a problem for me..if you're using it for fitness tracker, its pretty dependable 💕.. it's so basic but it almost have it all... Hey man, the strap designs are different, but the width are the same at 20mm. Also these are easily swappable so both Bip 3 and 5 will be able to use same straps.

Would I be able to track my child using this watch? Most watches either require a SIM card or can only track within a few meters using Bluetooth. Can the watch be linked to more than one phone and can I track the watch from the Zepp OS, like a find my watch feature using GPS?

This one is not rated for swimming. Only IP68 but no ATM resistance stated, like the 5ATMs on the Bip 3 Pro.
If you're looking for something to swim/shower with, along Bip 5 budget, then I'd say downgrade to the Bip 3 Pro or even a first series T Rex.

Contact names yes if it's saved in your phone. Spotify can control just the basic media controls as before.

Why it's not AMOLED but it's ultra big curvced display. For that price and can call they always remove things and skip gps and added something else so this is I think a good smart watch to buy. I think is not the screen we look at but the features. For that price we can t ask for more. If I buy it I will do a review of it! Hope for more reviews. Hope the one click measurements is not so sensitive to move because one move and you need to start over..

Update: no, it is not too big. I bought and my wrist size is 16,5cm. Fits very well, better than my older redmi watch 3 or my older gts 4 mini. The wrist size of the videomaker here is... 14-15cm?

This looks similar to Realme Watch 3, how does it compare? I liked that watch but the Xiaomi app is really lagging far behind Amazfit’s app. Might want to give this a go instead…

@@Patczek no not laggy, just lacking features and they way data is presented not useful.
@@Patczek I used Amazfit from first GTR watches, was always separate app. Think at sone stage there was a connection to Xiaomi but seems to be separate since Zepp came along. Currently much better app than Xiaomi. Also way better on iOS than Huawei app.

I have the 4 mini, after a few months it is oerfect and the senskrs are better than in the bip 5. Only difference is 4 mini is better quality and sensors while the bio 5 is worse quality but can Bluetooth call.
