    Hi, great vlog. We just returned from there after a few days stay (we wanted to celebrate our new SUV :p) and your observations are spot on. I would like to add a few just which are, IMO, quite important too.
    1. The road to the resort (a distance of 7.5kms) is broken, very narrow and will truly test your vehicle and your driving skills. You can see a glimpse of better patches of the road in the video @ 1:12. However most of the distance is broken roads with occasional stones and sudden pot holes. So watch out. If you are driving a vehicle that is 2mts or wider, ensure that you have a 360deg camera setup - esp the front facing camera and this is a really a great tool. Dont forget to honk at every turn. This stretch takes anywhere between 30 mins to an hour so plan accordingly. It gets quite dark in the afternoon so plan to reach Devala BEFORE 3. Some of the areas have quite steep ravines on the other side - so its really scary of thinking of driving in the dark. Dont stretch your luck or follow a local vehicle if you cannot avoid. Also SUVs are preferred but if you drive carefully and slowly you can manage with any car except the ones with ultra low clearance.
    2. This property is on the windward side of the mountains - so expect moisture EVERYWHERE. A dry floor is a luxury and as you see in the video, clouds are always rolling in - while its beautiful to look at - in practicality its all wet wet and wet everywhere. So plan accordingly.
    3. Leeches! I got bit by one and dont go near the tea plants or wet places. Wear protective clothing which includes covering yourself head to toe and dont forget shoes and long socks. Prefer to carry boots if you can get along with them. The log huts are especially prone as they are right in the middle of the valley but that should not dampen your spirits. We dont fear mosquitoes do we? But be careful and aware esp if you have children with you - they are the most prone.
    4. No signal - anywhere except BSNL (it seems) and no wifi anywhere except the lobby and the speeds are slow. So dont count on this. We found a spot in the lobby right besides the fish pond where we got some signal - good enough for us to call back home. But be prepared.
    5. No GSM means no data - so download offline maps on your vehicle and device - it will help you along the narrow stretch (good to have)
    6. Carry emergency medicines - no civilization in and around 10 km radius so prepare.
    7. No wildlife safari etc (you are in the middle of the buffer zone actually) just like other places like windflower etc which are also on the buffer zone but with good access to roads. So if you fancy wildlife safari, this is not the place. Just go there to unwind, switchoff and relax.
    8. The food in-house is really good. Never felt the need to go outside foraging for food (actually its nearly impossible to get anything else outside).
    Great place, must visit and given the amenities its worth the price.

      Hey there, I appreciate you watching the videos and providing valuable insights about your visit. Fortunately, none of us encountered any leech bites during our trip, possibly because we visited before the rains arrived.

      We are planning to go there ..are kids safe there? Should we be careful about wild animals?

    • @arvind50
      @arvind50 4 місяці тому

      @@SK-nm3my Yes, but as I mentioned above - during monsoon - watch out for leeches. If you want added safety - esp kids - choose the valley view cottages. They are right in the middle of the property and there is always someone or the other moving and no wild animals. The Villas and jungle view ones are actually on the edge of the property and there is a 6 feet fence separating you and the forest. The other side is actually the buffer zone of the forest and there have been leopards spotted there - we did see a lot of monkeys. So if you want safety and also the exclusiveness of the whole thing, choose the valley view rooms. Quite good, decent price and very close to the reception. The others are if you fancy a more thrilling stay. Cheers

    Many questions have come into my mind after watching this Vlog of yours :
    1) Today I booked thru Agoda one Double Bedded With Breakfast for 3 nights from 18th Aug to 20 th Aug ( 3 nights ) at *Jungle View Resort at Coonoor at a total cost of Rs.7,994.53*, which possibly don't include Lunch , evening snacks & Dinner .
    Is it the same resort where you put up ?
    Can You throw some light on this ?

      @TravelCeptor  5 місяців тому

      I don't think that one is the same as this one, this one is called Wild Planet Jungle Resort and not "Jungle View Resort" and this one is not located in Coonoor but it is located in Devala

      No i won't agree this brother ..because you can stay in the tents , ⛺️ camping 🏕 sites for 1200, 1400, 1500 with good locations ....this resort may be in high price ..but you have many resorts and camp sites under 2k

    Hi there! Just wanted to drop by and say that I really enjoyed watching your vlog. It was so much fun to see all the different activities you guys did together, and it looked like you had a blast.
    Your editing and cinematography skills are also really impressive - the transitions between shots were so smooth and the video quality was great. I especially loved the part where you stopped the voice-over and music and it was just the sound of nature - It felt as if I was standing right there, a truly beautiful experience in 4K. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see more from you on your next trip.
