Be neat to temporarily wire up a tachometer to it to see the rpms values at different highway speeds in the overdrive speed and how that compares to modern overdrive cars.
Harry, was this the same car that you once discussed with Lance Lambert on Vintage Vehicles? The Clipper Custom Super Club Sedan is perhaps my all-time favorite Packard. What is the asking price? I'd buy it if I could!
I think it is. I sold it to its present owner in 2012. It is absolutely beautiful and the best of the fewer than 20 in existence. We are asking $98.8k.
@@ClassicPromenade That's a fair price. It's amazing how much the 5 extra inches of hood improve the looks of the 1946-1950 Packards. I once saw a snapshot of Alvan Macauley and his wife alighting from their 1947 Custom Super Club Sedan. That was near the end of the Macauley era.
You need a new cameraman! Hate this video he could have showed how to shift at least or other features but nope! Just road shots. Who cares what the road looks like? Just saying
That's one quiet automobile!! Outstanding.
A truly lovely automobile in all respects.
My favorite car ever made wow.
They are gorgeous
Hi there from Australia what a great Packard you have I'm beautifully quiet it is unbelievable, thanks for sharing your story and carwith us see ya.
I've never been a car guy, but that car is beautiful.
My '49 Packard Custom 8 with overdrive would get 16 miles per gallon on highways. Love them cloisonne hubcaps
What a beautiful automobile!!
My Grandfather had a Packard and the inside was huge
What a beauty. It's like taking your couch for a drive. I'm guessing all the donut marks in the parking lot weren't from that car
I was thinking the same thing.
It's gorgeous!!!
I have a 48 22 series. It's all original and just a dream to drive. I do wish I had the overdrive, however.
Overdrive makes a nice difference if you do a lot of highway driving.
Packard had some beautiful body styles, over the years. We're nice cars, not fast just good cars that looked good

Sorry for the mistake I could see properly what I was printing.
What about the Electromatic Clutch? I see a red clutch pedal.

@@tombrown1898 I liken the Club Sedans as the Monet or Rembrandt of the classic era. The design is just so perfect.
Wow what a beautiful and smooth car! Thanks for sharing. All the best from Sweden.
Beautiful vehicle! Such a shame the marque went under, a true loss to the automotive industry!
