Today I’m trying out a new app to kickstart my creative energy, with the help of a couple of creative critters! 🦝😸 But how does it fare for tackling art block...?

Dude! I didn't read this before searching for it. That's so depressing. This sounded magnificent for me. Do you know if there's alternative ways to have this app without an apple device? Or even if they're going to adapt it for androids

Oh my god I remember when Moriah released the app, so it's so cool to see another art youtuber I follow using and reviewing it! It's such a fun cool app, and I love the little drawings you did. They're really nice and I love them!
Awww I heard of Spark because of Moriah Elizabeth, and I was a little sad, the App isn't in the Appstore where I live.... Now I'm even sadder because I also have an art block and your video has given me motivation to draw and try out this app. :´)

I just have a nokia and tbf i don't wanna risk a malware from a sketchy apk site for an app made by my favourite creator since spark isn't on android
I've recently been thinking about things that haven't been represented in the Fantasy space or popular media. Most prominent in those thoughts is a creature I became aware of last year, the Aralez. The Aralez is a creature from Armenian mythology; it is described as a winged dog-like creature that descends from the heavens to revive fallen heroes. And I would love to see the Aralez get translated as a D&D monster; it's basically a celestial counterpart to the Hellhound, and its mythology has a lot of potential as plot points and prompts for adventures.
Or maybe you could draw a cute version of an Aralez as a companion for one of your friends, much like Leaf is your cute companion in your art that has you in it. Since the Aralez is so obscure on the world stage, I think it is important to at least see a few people give it the attention it probably should have gotten ages ago.
As someone who has been researching about ADHD, your struggles with starting a drawing really resonated with me. Although it may not mean I have ADHD and may just be a symptom of anxiety or just my perfectionism speaking, it felt nice to hear that someone had the same struggles. I'll have to give this app a try!
So, I am not an artist, so I can't say I know how it feels having a drawing-block(?), but I can relate at having problems getting motivated... But watching other people do stuff, like drawing and crafting videos I am starting wanting to do something.
So in a way...
Thanks, for helping me more then one time getting out of the productivity-low, I get so often stuck in.
I've been in the cycle of not having time to draw then having art block because of it for half a year now. My skills have degraded a bit since, so now my perfectionism is also working against me getting back to drawing again. Its encouraging to hear that one of my favorite artists also has to deal with things like this.
Also I've never commented on one of your videos before so I just want to tell you that I really like your channel and the stuff you draw!
I actually had this app since launch and layers didn’t exist before so it is a pleasant surprise to see them (as I haven’t been on the app for a while)
(Oh, and the mascot for Spark is the creator’s cat)
Just want to mention how much you as a creator mean to me. It's hard to find other neurodivergent people who actually talk about their brain weirdness, and so you make me feel a lot less out of place. Also, listening to all the stuff you do to make your ADHD brain do art is very helpful for me haha

part. I always struggle just getting started. But once I've started, I don't want to stop. I'll try this one out, maybe it'll help haha
This app truly is great for getting through art block. The limited artistic features such as pen pressure and other drawing tools make you think differently about the works you create and, in turn, provide a lovely break from the sheer amount of options drawing platforms have. Going back to your preferred art program after having fun with Spark really makes you appreciate drawing again.

If you want to do different prompts that aren’t in the canvas, you can just use prompts from other people (or even the past) by tapping on the caption of a spark, then pressing the arrow. It’s really good if you want to bookmark other people’s creations and save prompts that interest you for later :DD

Gah! I’ve been so artblocked because I’ve been so busy with work, and every time I’ve picked up my pencil every bit of inspiration just goes out the window. I’ll have to look into this, ty Alex ^^
There was a app I used to use when I was younger on my android phone, it will give you a bunch of fun prompts to draw. I really love the horror prompts because they were really fun. I love that something like this is out!

7:40 i usually do this kind of thing with MS paint, when i just open and doodle with the limited tools so my brain can turn of, its very nice

As a fellow ADHD-haver, I can’t express how reassuring it is to hear someone else talk about the momentum issue too. I’ve been using that term for a few years now - a way to explain that once I’m in motion, I can stay in motion, but it’s so hard to start that ball rolling - and I feel like it’s not super common to hear other people explain it that way, too. I might have to download this even though I don’t really do digital art, the premise seems like it could work well enough that I could manage
I find it fascinating that this is an art app and yet it's not iPad compatible. It's designed exclusively for iPhones and isn't adaptive so it's either letterboxed & tiny or upscaled & blurry when installed on an iPad.

As someone who has been diagnosed with ADD since 6. It has honestly been a struggle going from productive times that last maybe a week, sometimes a month at most, to up to six months of art block. My worst period was almost ten months of art block. It was a time where my brain was constantly fuzzy.
I’ll try spark out to try and get over my current burnout. Seems like a cute app.

I, luckily, just got out of my art block which been going on for months, and I'm happy to say that I feel very relieved know that I'm drawing. So my wish is that for anyone that is having an art block to be able to finally get out of it and do their art ❤

I was gonna give download it but I looked and it's only for Apple :( this looked really cool for my adhd and so I could draw even if my art tablet broke and can no longer draw on CSP
It's so cool to see other creators talking about and using Moriah Elizabeth's app and having fun with it. (IDK why but I wanna see a ABD Moriah colab. Maybe that's just because I'd love to see them talk about their interests together.)

Do you know if they're planning to bring the app to PC or android? It seems really good but none of my drawing tools are apple which is a shame because I'd love to try this app out! Especially the spark as a warm up tool seems great

I tried to download it on my samsung not seeing the comment about not being android compatible. 😂 At least I have an iPad and pencil that I literally take with me everywhere. I have ADHD, too, so this looks helpful to help me focus. Thanks for sharing!

Can totally relate..ADHD adult here. Almost 40 and I still struggle with starting and finishing things. My digital canvas is full of WIPs, many that won't be finished.
Also...kinda reminds me of my sidequests. Sometimes to do the main task I have to do less important or unrelated tasks to help ramp me up.

my issue with spark isn’t the app itself, it’s just that (despite being an artist) i am not a very creative person, so the prompts aren’t very helpful to me. also, when i open the app, each time i try to create an avatar, i always swipe back to the main page and lose all my progress, and that is 1. a pain the ass and 2. _indescribably_ frustrating. just my grievances.
