    I am in my 70s. I have to laugh...i made one of these back in the 60's. Of course i used paisley fabric, and didnt paint on mine. Used it for almost 30 years. Love that recycling has made a comeback. Yours is very pretty.

    Very nice!!! 👌You have given me a lot of ideas to customize this DIY project 🤔. My apartment lacks enough storage and I could use this for my cherished cookbooks and for hiding my gourmet food indulgences from my husband...😁🍬🍫🍪🍷! But I’m going to staple a liner inside (for privacy ) and add a small lock 🔐 (for him)!! 😏🤫 I’m on it! Liked and new subbed!! 😆👏🏼🙏👍🏼

      Thank you! I think it would be better to use wood crates. It looks better, plus you can drill the hinges and wheels into it. You can try plastic boxes, you would just have to have a lid without hinges and no wheels. Hope this helps!

      So did I and knew as soon as I saw it they were the wrong size. Then I found out I would have to buy a $30 sheet of plywood in order to cut the correct dimensions of 17.5 x 25 (2). Supplies were cost prohibitive for me.

    • @veronicachatmon1094
      @veronicachatmon1094 5 років тому +1

      Bobby Caldwell It kind of seems obvious that you COULD change the fabric per your decor. Remove the screws (my drill has a reverse setting) and remove the staples. And move on from that point in that order and voila! Use a easy to clean fabric or just plain be careful. Seems like the sky is the limit here. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔🙄🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

    I couldn’t wait to repurpose my crates and make this nice project for my office. Then I made a list and went shopping for supplies. The necessary items added up quickly at the fabric store and then Lowe’s. When the price tag approached $90, I abandoned the project. Although it’s a really cute and useful project, I found it to be cost prohibitive.
