He's not dead, I think they got confused. He just has a chronic fatigue illness and isnt sending super hard anymore.

Alex Honnold's Sunday day hike is a major event for climbing pundits.
Have led both these climbs, probably could do both in 18 hours, the descents are quite long, he must ha e run.

Men's yellow sloapy boulder beta break was cool, although they didn't finish using it.
It's Sam Watson who has the speed world record. Also there are 12 tickets up for grabs in boulder/lead (11 plus universality for the women and 11 plus the French host ticket for the men).

Yeah there's just two tickets that are a little weird. In the women the French host ticket has been 'used' by Oriane so there are 11 plus Svana can get the universality ticket. If she doesn't make top 36 then it reverts to a normal ticket. So 11 or 12 up for grabs on the women's side. There's no universality ticket for the men (no one qualified) so 11 there plus the French host ticket. Since Paul, Mejdi, and Sam are all in the top 10 already right now chances are two of them will qualify which means the automatic French ticket will go to the next eligible athlete. It's super complicated but basically there are 12 tickets for the men and 11 (probably 12) for the women up for grabs after Budapest.

Mason has been dealing with health issues. Unless he heals soon I wouldn't be looking for him innthebnews
I hope mason never sees these comments. He is not going through an easy time.
