5:33 You're right about that. I remember necrit saying that Jinx in the lore should be around 40 or so in current time? Taliyah is also portrayed as a teenager in game but is currently a young adult for example. In Necrit's most recent Riot interview, we know that Warwick is "eventually" going to turn into the wolf and Jayce/Viktor are currently not dead. I not angry with Riot having inconsistencies for the nth time because anyone paying even a bit of attention to lore knows that much. You also mentioned how Riot is making Arcane canon for sales and I would strongly argue against that. The reason is that Riot has never showed an interest in handling its world building even now. We only get stories or lore updates when they need to add a new champ to game. They're using Arcane because the show has a coherent timeline where people we care about exist and not Ionia 500 years ago or some crap. Writers need to acknowledge that settings are largely a vehicle for storytelling and our current league roster has people only interact with only a few people on occasion. Your favorite champ is Shaco? Get bent says Riot Games. Viktor and the current Piltover/Zaun situation is going to be hell on the lore and getting them to a state where they can exist in setting is going to be a pain - assuming their personalities are kept intact. I actually do like new Viktor a lot, but turning him into a mage makes him lose so much of himself that I can see why ViktorMains are upset even if they do like Vik as he was in Arcane. The big "issue" in my opinion is that every champ not currently in Arcane is currently non-canon. It feels bad knowing they're going to drop the ball again like they've always done with every event and now the 3rd great lore overhaul.
I enjoyed arcane way more before it was 100% the canon and wanted more an idea on writing the characters going forward from what we already have in the lore to make the stories more fleshed out. We already had lore on lor that reflected the changes riot made in the last few years so just make it a platform to go way up
@@opiekunem yeah I feel that, I kinda wanted to see how arcane would deviate from canon lore I'm so curious how Camille, zeri, seraphine etc would exist in arcane Kinda sad so much story will get overwritten

ngl, I really enjoy Arcane ss2. Before arcane become famous, I waited like 6 years for ss1 and it was a masterpiece. And now to see it ending riddle with controversy is sad to me. Riot game is a mega corp now and making money become the priority number 1 and trust me when I say there is no way we gonna see anything ever top Arcane quality coming out from Riot anymore. Hope they can prove me wrong.
@@chienduongquang8087 I absolutely agree. Even despite how it ended, I still adore arcane and I still consider it a masterpiece There has been some recent news about spin offs that look interesting so I'll digest that and some other thoughts into another video I think the talent at riot is just incredible and I can't wait to see more!
The thing is I didn't even feel like it was rushed when I watched it, of course I'm no scriptwriter and probably because I didn't have to wait for the acts. I was just enjoying Arcane and in my opinion Season 2 was better than Season 1. Looking back yeah it definitely feels rushed once I heard people point it out but that still doesn't change my opinion on Season 2.
I think they really captured Viktor's essence in TFT. The board wide stun is reminiscent of the Arcane finale. As for LOL, the general consensus I see is that he looks worse than his original design, which does agree with him losing 'the machine herald' title. Anyway, its good to see youre still making videos.
@@Alan-TFT yeah I've been struggling recently but I always enjoy making a video Also, I do think that tft's portrayal is the closest but there's still inaccuracies so I'm torn 🤷🏽
I loved season 2. It is cannon. Multiverse is cannon in LOL, that's why skins exists with their own stories. So yeah, I loved them embracing the crazyness, and I thinks they did it with courage and it was brilliant.
For me, canonizing Arcane could've also represented an opportunity to ameliorate the existing lore, instead of being viewed as subordinate and constrained because of it. Viktor's arc proved that the writers had enough creative freedom to redefine a story without aligning it to a pre-established narrative. I believe the issue lies in the execution, for as ambitious their ideas were, they couldn't properly showcase them within Arcane before being deployed to other media. The external pressure and need of monetization is palpable, and it definitely hurt the overall quality and purity of the show. Great analysis, keep it up!
Season 2 Spoilers explaining the storm The storm referenced is the storm that destroyed Piltover in the alternate timeline They initially setup for the hexgate being the cause but based on the alternate world Jayce corpse mirroring the fight at the end it is clear that Viktor winning causes it It is also possible that the iterations of champion in both League and TFT are not what we have seen yet If warwick is still alive (which I assume he is) the TFT version would be a midpoint in his evolution towards League Warwick Mels skills in TFT clearly outclass her skills in the show and are from a future version so it is relatively possible Heimerdinger still has a long way to go between Arcane and his in game presentation too
