- very nice execution on the paint and body work, and altered framework to accommodate the 49-in rear end in this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette. matching numbers m21 transmission, 512 cast block ran healthy. clean underbody needing some interior work.
@AutoAppraise need a car appraisal or inspection like this? Call 810-694-2008
You got the year wrong, its a 1969. You said 1967.
He did say 69 right at the end, and it's in the thumbnail.
C3,NEW BODY DESIGN
He did say 67 but he meant to say 69.
Probably did…sometimes I get all “human” and make mistakes like this!
@@jrphillips326you're cool!
What's the asking price
Now this is a Vette.
bad hack job
VIN Verification? Front springs need some help with coil spacers installed. This May indicate a small block car with the Added big block weight………Engine sound observation; Too much camshaft duration for pleasurable street driving.
Depends, just right for me! Un pleasurable would be stock.
Slotted mags and side pipes will never go out of fashion. 👍
It floors me.
No pun intended. How does a car guy mix up a 1967 to a 1969 Corvette
Also how can you not tell that the exhaust collectors and side pipes are aftermarket. The frame welds are not great. And where they did the cut out, they should have boxed it in even though they reinforced it further down. It just gives the vehicle more rigidity.
They do look great though
No time to edit out mistakes! Life’s short
Frame has a lot of painted over rust
I NOTICED THAT ALSO
My thought exactly. The frame rust has been mudded over. It also appears to be a small block car originally
68-72 look so much better than 73-83. Similar body but the proportions are different.
Anytime theres a vid on a C3, people want to see that bird cage first, I dont care about the windshield wipers bub, put it on a rack.
My dream is tto have a C3-C4-C5-C6-C7 in yellow. I have the C5 and owned the C6&7 but this wouldbe an awesome collection
Great for a little spin but one will be happy to get back in your daily today driver, trust me I owned all sorts of muscle.
Nice appraisal. Nice Vette. Sounds pretty nice. Also sounds like it has an after market cam? The older vettes with side pipes usually sound crappy but this one sounds like I said pretty nice. I enjoyed your video and evaluation.
Cars all patched up
Way patched up car. Major frame rust covered over on the birdcage
I had a '69 Daytona yellow coupe this one's shade of yellow looks slightly off should be more of a pastel yellow..thats how it was mixed when repainted from the body shop supply guy most likely, that things a hot rod beast
Looks 73 color, 69 was a lighter shade yellow
Old school style hot rod, I dig it 😎
427, 435, engines, had four bolt mains, the had , oil filter had additional provisions for oil cooling lines for racing
Tri carbs ,were. always a problem, L88 raced with 850 Holey four barrel
A great car. Now, can we get parts for a car that is over 50 years old without selling off the farm?
I probably should have kept my low mile , super clean 69 427 instead of selling it for 4k back In 77
Probably because you’re not to smart
No one cares about you
I heard that.
Nice inspection! Car seem pretty good overall
Thing had a hard life. Needs some TLC for sure.
Why wouldn’t you replace front springs? Weld bolts instead ? WTH?
The rear has a very low geared ring & pinion for sure! A very gas thirsty beast! 😝 I have a big block ‘68 so I know!
a "cut up" and "modified" 69 Corvette is not worth much even if it has a 427 in it. anyone buying this car better keep it forever because finding any other buyer interested in this thing would not be easy. it is a shame what was done to this car.
$25,000 tops
He’s an appraiser and doesn’t know the year or generation of the car ?
Not to bad for an old HOT ROD CORVETTEI, i,m a corvette guy how much are they asking for thecar i like the yellow also its a keeper!
it,s a consignment car what was the asking price o appraisal value?
Is that the correct transmission for the car?? Shouldn't that be a M22 Rock crusher ??
How much are they asking
Needs a little carb tuning, but that 427 is sick!
What a beast! That is some serious cam.
That odometer only has 5 digits, so I bet it has rolled over at least once.
If the clutch didn't slip it probably needs to be adjusted.
I'd add a power booster to the brakes.
I had a 69 Mustang Mach 1 428cj back in the early 70s. Loved street racing it. I never ran against a vette, but I beat everything else.
I'm more into comfortable but fast German cars nowadays. 😅😂
No cares about you or BMWS
@@questionauthority7377serious biz
Nice video , thank you for your time .
Even a '67 isn't worth $129,999!
thats what they want for this car? I was thinking 25grand lol
@@SloppyJOLopys WOw your price is more realistic.
Car has hidden issues once you get past the sound and lipstick
Such a beautiful car, like a beautiful woman, nice and curvey like a sexy woman. King of the World love's this car !!!👑🌎🐺❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😘
Nothing like a 4 spd low gears and a big solid cam!! Id love to play with this one.
NEver fails....all the hate from "Corvette guys" nitpicking the guy, cam isnt comfortable oh god.
Go buy a cadillac & some fruit roll ups. Tuff little hot rod for adrenaline rushes!
Who complains its a 454 block instead of a 427? Only thing it definitely needs is a fan shroud
Is this like an L88 or ZL1 clone
I had one very similar, the only difference was mine had black vinyl removable hard top. I bought it in 1975 at 17 years old, when i worked at a drive- in theater. Paid 3G... I traded in for 1972 Heavy Chevy. Id like to find one while im still kicking!
I would not care it can be straightened out if u buy right
Somebody's former race car. Nothing original here at all and no way to know if the engine is correct because we didn't look at the front pad. It sure has a much bigger cam than the original solid flat tappet and the tri power is gone but the Victor Jr. runs better anyway, ask me how I know. Could be an interesting car to own if the price is right but it will be a lot lower than an original L-71 car. And it's NOT a '67 as you described at first, we'll forgive the Freudian slip however.
If that’s a real L71 car then the guy that hacked it up was a moron. The original tach redlines at 6500 that was the standard tach for the L71. What a shame. The guy who did this build could have butchered up a regular 69. I wouldn’t want it.
Not a good one. 512 block 454 rear suspension butchered. If a guy wanted a dragster possibly but far better choices and as corvette it's one to run from. Just my thoughts.
Do you know what could be causing the temperature gauge to bound around like that? I am asking because I have a 1970 Corvette that does the same thing. Thanks, and great video!!
That's not a 67 to start with. It's a 69 and it's a beauty. Every Vette should have side pipes and not one of those stupid racks on it.
She's going to need some work though. Not too happy about the spraying the bottom like that though.
Looks like an amateur flipper car. undercoated front suspension what restorer does that , ( if that is texture paint, it sure was sprayed on non prep metal) dried out suspension bushings and you can tell if ball joints are good by looking at them, really?
this video starts out with a guy who is suppose to be an "appraiser" of old cars and he calls a 68 Corvette a "67?"
This car has been modified a lot. That's not an original side pipe car. The cuts are way too clean because they used a template
That undercoating is a little to thick for me. Sht man! you didn't even let her warm up first.
I got mine up to 145, before I-95 opened up. It felt like i was floating.
love it!!!!! would love to own this, but whos got that kind of money ha ha
good appraiser doesnt know its a 69, thinks its a 67 ? c2 vs c3. dont use him
BEAUTIFUL! POWER STEERING WOULD BE NICE !
It'll work for daily driver. Just sayin.
not a 67VETTE Bro, can't ya tell the difference
You sure you're gonna know what that is? Would you l Little help
You need a go pro for your test drive.
Son, you can't be an appraiser if you can't even get the year of the car correct.
My favorite year Vette next to the "62 vette
Carb needs work but a fun car if you know how to tune a BB
Cool 😎
Correct cold engine starting procedure for a Carbureted car: Depress Accelerator Fully and release Accelerator and Turn Ignition Key with Foot off Accelerator That's all.
Agree and always find it funny that everyone doing Cold Start videos has no idea how to set the choke to do a proper cold start. 🤣
Very Few people have Knowledge of anything today, What a shame devolution is in full swing.@@thud9797
no power brakes ??? yek's
How much for the Chevrolet Van. Cool Vette. Been running a 71 Corvette LT1. Highway Ride. Put a 375. Gears.
I wouldn't have you apprise anything can't even get the year straight
You can't even spell man.
I had 68, same color.traded for 72 heavy Chevy. Both when I was 18 to 21. 66 now. I still have 427 block sitting in a patch of dog fennel. Those were the days !
Great sound!
0:11 he calls it a "1967"... 😳😮😊
Thank you
I didnt have those thrush pipes tho.
Transaxels were a headache tho
Super cool 70's style build. Write down to that old wieand intake.
Wish you would give the appraisal number .
Bad Ass hot rod ! 💪😎
Not a 1967
It would have required 98 octane, leaded fuel.
That thing was not driven the way it needs to be driven in order to convince me it's going to hold up. I agree with another person's comment. This is a hack job.
RIGHTGIST 435
Couldn't get in first there at the end steering wheel looks loose .?...
Never really liked Corvette very much, but it seems like a guy could have a fun project with that. Thank you for sharing 🙏
No one cares about and you’re opinion
It would give a Cobra a run for the money 😂
What's the price on this one?
It’s the manifold - Victor Jrs are too much for a street application
no they arent.
Needs better fuel
Nah, just cold bb with no choke
Price asking?
Fun driver project.
❤beautiful
Mr. Phillips, how can you appraise this Corvette when you don't even know the model year you're appraising? Educate yourself first. Just a friendly suggestion.
He knows he obviously made an innocent mistake. Ease up
I'm easing up. No worries. I was trying to be friendly and helpful...that's all.@@gordocarbo
67 ?????
😩
Amazing how any credibility at all went out the window at that point
Funny can’t get the year right. Lol
