Thank you for showing truth, my parents have behaved so bad with me after this that I had to leave my house when I was jobless. Later I worked very hard and achieved job that pay's me in dollar and I become enough capable because they never saved penny for me and siblings and spent for their luxury. Now their move is hurting themself as they dont have money at old age and literrally bootlicks me as I have more money. I feel bad for their condition and understand my responsibility so they will never be left alone as they did to my grandmother in front of me. But they still take sympathy from people that bete ke pass paisa aya toh ghamandi ho gaya aur chige ginate bht in actual hume pata hai kuch nai kiya but log maa baap ko bhagwan manne ko hi bolte. Not with me though, my parents didn't treated me differently after the movie. Just said "see, this is what happens in this age. This modern era is eating out humanity from people". Then we all slept watching few more movies (krish 3 or makkhi.. as far i remember). Apart from that, what i learned is that "struggle is true!". If me and my brother left them like that, how will they live? I got the realize what my responsibilities are as the blood of that guy, who is working so hard for me, for no reason! @@Changearco every individuals has different experience.but I can only say behalf of mine.when this movie came my whole family (which is joint back then) including my uncle,aunt,cousin and his wife,my mom,papa and we sisters watched together,when movie peaks on it's best part all of us feel sad and emotional but my uncle started taunting to his son and daughter in law,I was too young (just 8 ) to understand whole thing but the way my uncle and aunt started taunting and changed his behaviour towards them and also started changing behaviour little off and the result was we never go for movie together. these situations made my father also used to say unpleasant thing in fun for few days.but it's obviously felt guilty and culprit same time.after some time everything was on the track.but whenever this movie came on TV elders started behaving strangely... so basically it leaves some scars and not good experience for my family..

Growing up I always wondered what if this couple had girls instead of boys 1. Can they live with them? 2. If their Son in law told them not to type at night, will they get offended? 3. Can they try to control their life in the sense of LOVE 4. Will they get angry if their son in law refused them? 5. When their daughter or Son in law forget about their specs, will they get hurt?? I know in some scenes children actually did/told bad things to them but most of the time they were wrong

I have eternally questioned Bollywood and even TV serials concept of Family , economic status . They seriously have no idea that a family living in 3BHK homes is essentially a well off family. I have seen so many serials and movies where they portray a family with like 3 bedrooms large hall, large kitchen as "poor" family. While so called rich will always have homes the size of Ambani's home. Like i know even my relatives that r quite rich and yet never bothered to make more than 4 to 5 rooms to live.
According to me this film shows the conservation values. In other movies the liberal character of hero gets fame and achievements, which represents the ideas of the rebel generation. In this movie, the newer generation feel hurt because the conservative character gets success. So, there's nothing wrong in this movie. A vibrant society is created by promoting both liberal and conservative values.

My nanaji used to watch this movie and then taunt my both mama, mummy and mausi but in a funny way. 🤣 While I understand your frustration, it's important to notice why this film was the way it was. It was released in 2003, a time when India was not that modern. We didn't know these terms called 'dominance' or 'patriarchy' or 'gender discrimination' and even if we knew it, we didn't take it that seriously. So, at that time, sanskaar, family morals and affection and respect towards your parents was considered supreme act and hence Salman Khan was the glorified character in the movie even though such perfect children don't really exist in real life but that doesn't mean they have no love for their parents. Yes, few parts were illogical like partying so much (but that's bollywood for ya) and even in Ham Saath Saath Hain, there's a dialogue, 'jis ghar ki betiyan apne haathon ka bana khaana khilaye, wahi ghar ghar hai', something along those lines. Do you think the dialogue was criticized at the time this movie released? 'Cause it was the normal thought process, things have advanced, so while few people have started finding comfort and solace in old movies, few have also started finding faults and that's not wrong, it's just because of time.

Usually I don't dislike or comment on videos on UA-cam but this time i am doing this. 1.Just because a father is taking some decisions for their sons doesn't mean he is dominating it simply means he is the head of the family and based on his experience he concludes something is right for me. 2. Son saying to his father I've achieved this success because I had the potential. Well maybe but without his father his potential would have gone wasted. In other words the reason behind his success are his parents. 3. Freedom doesn't mean doing whatever they want to do. For example, parents may give us freedom to study whichever field we like but they can and they will beat us if we smoke. Very wrong interpretation of this movie. If you are raised by your parents and they have spent their earnings selflessly you should be taking care of them in their old age. And if not possible atleast help them financially. Thats the basic thing you can pay back for your upbringing and education. I see many people are celebrating this video and don't want to the fixed deposit of their parents even after living on their money from birth till getting a job. I feel bad for their parents 😢. I know this was a roast video but his point about the 4 sons being immatured because of Amitabh Bachan is kind of true. The role of parent is not just to raise their children but also make them independent. Normally in US, typically the children leave their house and stay on thier own. This is why Salman character in this movie was so successful, because he grew up in a struggling childhood, to later on live in a luxurious life. Because this helped him to always move out of his comfort zone. While those 4 sons mostly lived a luxurious childhood to end up in struggling adulthood.
When I watched this movie I felt bad for the old mom and dad character. But at the same time I felt like they had severe issues into their judgement of life. This video has brought up exactly the gaps in their characters. This movie was made to villainize the kids not focusing the parents shortcomings. And establishing patriarchal values and norms.

@@Changearco every individuals has different experience.but I can only say behalf of mine.when this movie came my whole family (which is joint back then) including my uncle,aunt,cousin and his wife,my mom,papa and we sisters watched together,when movie peaks on it's best part all of us feel sad and emotional but my uncle started taunting to his son and daughter in law,I was too young (just 8 ) to understand whole thing but the way my uncle and aunt started taunting and changed his behaviour towards them and also started changing behaviour little off and the result was we never go for movie together. these situations made my father also used to say unpleasant thing in fun for few days.but it's obviously felt guilty and culprit same time.after some time everything was on the track.but whenever this movie came on TV elders started behaving strangely... so basically it leaves some scars and not good experience for my family..

While I understand your frustration, it's important to notice why this film was the way it was. It was released in 2003, a time when India was not that modern. We didn't know these terms called 'dominance' or 'patriarchy' or 'gender discrimination' and even if we knew it, we didn't take it that seriously. So, at that time, sanskaar, family morals and affection and respect towards your parents was considered supreme act and hence Salman Khan was the glorified character in the movie even though such perfect children don't really exist in real life but that doesn't mean they have no love for their parents.
Yes, few parts were illogical like partying so much (but that's bollywood for ya) and even in Ham Saath Saath Hain, there's a dialogue, 'jis ghar ki betiyan apne haathon ka bana khaana khilaye, wahi ghar ghar hai', something along those lines. Do you think the dialogue was criticized at the time this movie released? 'Cause it was the normal thought process, things have advanced, so while few people have started finding comfort and solace in old movies, few have also started finding faults and that's not wrong, it's just because of time.

Usually I don't dislike or comment on videos on UA-cam but this time i am doing this.
1.Just because a father is taking some decisions for their sons doesn't mean he is dominating it simply means he is the head of the family and based on his experience he concludes something is right for me.
2. Son saying to his father I've achieved this success because I had the potential. Well maybe but without his father his potential would have gone wasted. In other words the reason behind his success are his parents.
3. Freedom doesn't mean doing whatever they want to do. For example, parents may give us freedom to study whichever field we like but they can and they will beat us if we smoke. To put it in simple words freedom is given when we are right but if we are involved in something bad our parents will try to stop us because they love us.

Very wrong interpretation of this movie. If you are raised by your parents and they have spent their earnings selflessly you should be taking care of them in their old age. And if not possible atleast help them financially. Thats the basic thing you can pay back for your upbringing and education. I know this was a roast video but his point about the 4 sons being immatured because of Amitabh Bachan is kind of true. The role of parent is not just to raise their children but also make them independent. Normally in US, typically the children leave their house and stay on thier own. This is why Salman character in this movie was so successful, because he grew up in a struggling childhood, to later on live in a luxurious life. Because this helped him to always move out of his comfort zone. While those 4 sons mostly lived a luxurious childhood to end up in struggling adulthood.

When I watched this movie I felt bad for the old mom and dad character. But at the same time I felt like they had severe issues into their judgement of life. This video has brought up exactly the gaps in their characters. This movie was made to villainize the kids not focusing the parents shortcomings. And establishing patriarchal values and norms.
