One of the reasons why Michael Cassette music sounds good is because he's using old analog synth(s) in his productions. His most used synth is a Roland Juno 106 from 1986. All his bass, leads and simple brass/pad/arpegio sounds come from it. Thats why it sounds good....sounds 80's. Had he made his music using modern synths...it would not have been so nice on the ears (thin, cold, digital).
Every time I hear your music, I die in the undertow of ecstasy, only to be reborn on the shore, feeling the cold waves lapping at my feet. Feeling loves truth embodied in my heart and soul. It is why I am a DJ, Michael. So I can share this feeling with the world.
2:33 please good god what is happening hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! michale cassette is the genius of life. he is a man of the 80's but he's from the future
yeah they are mint, i have most of em. give these a whirl -- "fherplay - phantom', 'jeremy orlander - let me feel' 'chymera ' a question', Paul Keeley - A Sort of Homecoming', 'teshbe - the sundance kid (child remix)', 'Fauna - Shingo Nakamura', 'Border (Mango remix) - Snake Sedrick', @@patoswald6552
I actually feel bad to listen to this stellar production with youtube. The quality is misrepresented and now I can't wait to buy the original to blast it through my monitors...
They also want you to believe that "Michael" lives inside his synthesizers... don't believe the hype dude. Michael Cassette is a very enigmatic group on purpose. It helps make the music more powerful. This music can be made without issue on modern DAWs with proper equipment, mixing and talent.
Will there ever be an average production from Cassette? Obviously not, but.. I'm really starting to wonder if this guy's real. Or whether he's from this universe or elsewhere.
Actually not anymore, and i guess thats the problem now with his music. Suck needs to refocus on the synth bass, None of his new stuff sticks to me like these older songs of his.
Heard this at a house party in the hills... I still havent left
2024 ? 🔥💓
Timeless, needs more exposure. I can't get enough of this music.
