So far they've done 4 of 5 songs I think are best on the record. Glad they picked this one, I think it's great! (...If you're wondering which tracks were my fav's on the record, they were tracks 2, 3, 5, 8 (this one), and 13... Don't think they'll make track 13 a single, but it's great too.)

This song was on warbear's patch originally, but sounded pretty different to the rest of the album, only for him to reveal months later it was actually a demo of a GG song. Him explaining both the meaning of BBHF's 13 EP and then this to come after was pretty personal to him so there is no archive of the live, so only people watching it live got to hear it. He also says he won't sing this song live because it makes him cry ;; I won't go into too much detail here but Suzume-chan nearly didn't make it, but despite all odds she did. He wrote this song when he first got to take her to the beach to see the sea after all that happened. It is also the reason why he named his record company Suzume Studios, and now brought back GG along with his other band BBHF, because he now has full control over his own work running his own company. I recommend listening through 13 and then put on this song, it's really moving ❤ He sometimes posts updates of Suzume-chan on his instagram story it's very cute

Galileo Galileiって本当に良いよなあ
GGは昔から、尾崎雄貴（Vo. 以下ザキ兄）のパーソナルな部分が色濃く曲に反映されていて、その時その時の自分自身を切り取って大きく反映された曲は名曲が多いです。
GGをインタビューなどを含め追いかければ彼の音楽に悩んだ時や、少年期、恋をしたとき、結婚したとき、親になったとき、様々な楽曲にこれらが反映されているのが分かります。
この曲も類に漏れず、特にザキ兄のパーソナルな部分が色濃く反映された曲で、彼の長女が難病を抱えて生まれ、常に死と隣り合わせで生きることへの苦悩と葛藤の中で生まれたのだろうと想像がつく。
本人も「長女と海と自分のために書いた」「長女を車に載せ、地元の稚内の浜辺でぼーっとしているところをイメージした」と言っているように、歌詞も直接的ではないが生と死を強く意識させる。
その中で、彼なりの生と死への向き合い方と解答。
そしてそれらは絶望とも希望とも言い難いがそれでも受け入れよう抗おうと歌う。
そして、その中でも音楽自体が、生と死への希望を暖かく照らして終わる。
そこに救われるし、感動する。そんな曲です。
解釈の補足として、Demo版がWarbearというソロプロジェクトで1年ほど前にリリースされた「Patch（絆創膏）」というアルバムに入っています。
Demo版ではサウンドが削られて、生まれたてのような粗さも含め魅力の曲でしたが、このDemo版とGGの現行版では曲の解釈も変わってきます。
サウンド面でもDemo版ではまだ、生と死へのザキ兄の解釈が定まっておらず、本人は「音圧を増やすと、曲の魅力も削がれるのでDemoのまま収録した。」と語っていますが、実際は生と死への向き合い方が定まっていないため曲を完成させることができなかったのだと推察されます。
そして、歌詞も一部変わっており、最後のサビでDemo版では「迫りくる波に乗っていこう」と歌っていた箇所が、GG版では「迫りくる波に抗って」に変更されています。まさに生死の捉え方が変わったことを証明する一文だと思います。
ここからも、死に対する捉え方が大きく変わり、希望の曲に変わったのがこの『汐』という曲だと私は考えています。
わかるんだけど、ちょっとクドいというか、解説する自分への陶酔が滲んでいてあまり好きではないコメントです。
中学、高校の青春を彩ってくれたGalileo Galileiが帰ってきた。
誤解を恐れずに言うと、死別してしまった愛する人がある日「よっ」て家に帰ってきたみたい。
格好良くて流麗で郷愁漂う楽曲たち。
彼らの紡ぐ言葉をまた聴けるのかと思うと、感悦の念に耐えない。
訳：まじ大好きです！最高！

尾崎さんはどの曲も大切に思っているんだと思いますが、この曲は尾崎さんの胸の奥底の大切な部分を大切に一曲にしているような気がします。向き合っていることに対しての。
汐を聴くと尾崎さんの心の奥を少し離れた場所でみている、そんな気持ちになります。
ライブのmcで泣きそうになるからあんまり歌えないっていうような事を仰っていたのを覚えています。
すごく大切にされているんだなと思いました。
昔からGalileoの曲を聴くと情景が浮かんできます。その曲ごとの物語りが自分の中にあります。自然といろいろな景色が見えてきます。
これからもずっとそれは続いていく気がします。

昨日稚内行って息子と旦那とドライブしながら聞いたよ。
稚内行く時と海辺をドライブする時はいつもGGの曲って決めてる🚗
昔の曲も、今の曲もずっと好きです。またライブ行きたいな〜
汐が本当に大好きで、ずっと聞き回しながら最後に映画の結末がどうだったのか教えてもらわず終わってしまって、ハッピーエンドかどうか気になってずっと考えていました。
でもこのMVを見ていたら前回のインタビューの尾崎さんの「世界観が終わらず、ずっと浸っていたいので映画の最後に結末を見たくなくて消してしまうことがよくある」という言葉が思い出しました。もしかしたら私も汐の世界にずっと浸っていたいたかったのかもしれませんね

ライブだとメンバーの前からの姿が印象に残りがちだけど、こうして見るとみんな素敵な背中だよなぁと思う

分かりやすさとかが良い歌詞な場合もあるけれど、この曲のようにリスナーにある程度委ねた上で、経験とかと曲がクロスオーバーによって生まれる感慨を得れる歌は何にも変え難く心に残り続けると思ってます。
広い海を見ていると自分の人生を全て受け入れられるような気持ちになるけれど、この曲にもそんな力があるような気がします。
どういう人生送ったらこんな歌詞が書けるのか…。天才。
