Thinking About You Frank Rosolino (tb) Ed Bickert (g) Don Thompson (b) Terry Clarke (ds) Recorded at Bourbon Street, Toronto April 20-23, 1976 Sackville Records
Frank was an absolutely amazing performer and talent. There is a tape on UA-cam of Frank Rosolino at Jazz Scene USA that is an open display of his mastery and creative ability to play jazz. May God grant Eternal Rest to Frank's soul.
I can't imagine anyone playing at a higher level than this. Frank Rosolino was a superb musician. Ed Bickert has been a friend and a major influence on my guitar playing since I met him when I visited Toronto in the seventies.Terry and Don are also world-class players and great guys. There is much to learn from here in terms of taste, time and musicality.

So much soul comes out of that horn that I think I can say there will never be another Frank Rosolino.
Never will there be another Frank. I hoped to play like him.
